I've heard that if you pick up a piece of litter while playing, karma takes a stroke off of your score. So after tieing for 1st place in Am Masters and before the playoff, the 30+ mph wind blew a playing card (predominant form of litter on that course) right by me. I chased it for 100 yds until it got stuck on a backstop, whereupon I grabbed and it was the Jack of Spades. Blackjack!

I won the toss and drove right into the first tree. He drives inside the circle. I immediately whack the next tree leaving me 150' away. My third shot lands under the basket. Game over. Not so fast. With a 30+ mph wind, HE GOES FOR IT and it flies right on by, landing 30' behind the pin. His comeback hits dead center . . . . . . .and bounces out. I win with a long birdie on the next hole.

The moral of the story, don't miss an opportunity to pick up litter.

I won the intermediate division at a C-tier event....Tall Grass Open a few months ago. I was told by some of my peers that I shouldn't be in that division anymore. Since then I've played in advanced tourneys and placed 2nd twice. We'll see what next year holds in store for me in the adv. division.
