The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

After reading some of the discussions within this group, it seems that the members have one thing in common: Everyone realizes that results and enjoyment can be greatly increased in disc golf through better use of one's brain. We all believe that attention paid to the 'mental game' is worth the effort. So whether we use terms like Zen, or meditation, or focus, or whatever . . . we're basically talking about the same thing.

I've developed a philosophy called Disc Golf in a Vacuum, and have written numerous entries in DeLaBlahg on various aspects. I thought a recent post on how I define focus in the context of this philosophy, and thought it would be of interest. Click the link below to read the short post, then come back here to share your thoughts.

This is why I spend time on DGRUS. what a great blog! nice job! I try to focus on just the shot at hand. its important not to let past failures slip into your mind.I say "I believe in my ability" to my self, it helps....on another thought, I found it less offensive to read Snap-bands rant than it is to see multiple bible thumpers on our DISCGOLF web site. I neither need nor want to be evangelized. I want to improve my golf skills!
DeLaBlahg is the blog of someone (me) who plays DeLaveaga DGC in Santa Cruz routinely, and learns from her many lessons.
Yeah, i'm really digging the blog as well, I've even gone back to the beginning and started reading your first ones.
Thanks Sean. I'm big on helping people get the most out of disc golf from the brain side of things. It's pretty cool when you realize that mental focus gets better with consistent workouts just like muscles and endurance.
