Selling on the course: Do you guys get vendors to come in to the parks for your events? If the city owns the park, can you even do that? I'm talking about food and local disc shops that might want to have a booth to sell discs and accessories.

I've ran so many tournaments I can't even count. But I think the best advise I could give to someone running a tournament for the first time is...Visualize..Visualize..Visualize..

Actually walk through every part of the event from head to toe. Second have enough staff..... and a back up plan...You can't do it all and it's easy to miss the small stuff. Like not having a can opener to open cans........if you have a staff member they can go and get something that's missing ...it's huge....stuff happens but if you think ahead you'll be fine.

He Everyone, I'm not officially a tournamet director yet but have run many doubles and low level fun events. I was wondering if anyone had any good war stories or any advice for a touring pro turned TD....? I'm starting to get moer involved with the clubs here locally and got elected as Tournament Manager. Which means that when we run turnaments the buck stops with me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Im wanting to run my first tourney in the fall, I'd like to here from experienced TD's about the mistakes they have made, what they learned from it and what they think will make a rock solid one day event. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Having been a TD, it is a thankless job (most of the time) since most disc golfers want everything for free. This includes your time as a TD. And the whining (a different story).

If you did not know already, DiscPlayerSports offers legitimate TDs wholesale pricing for its products to help raise $$$$$$$ for your tournaments.

Would love to be able to give everything away, but reality is that contrary to belief, disc golf is not charity. And how many tournaments are there a year now? Do the math.

Hope everyone has a great disc golf rest of the year.
