Green Country Challenge and Championship points series

OK gang now is the planning time for year two of the Spring Fling.
What do we want to try this year?
Sanctioned or non?
Local courses or expand to cover the whole of Green Country?
Last year the ice storm cheated us out of Haikey, and Mac Taylor parks. Should we expand to cover Bristow, "B" ville, Muskogee, and the Lodge?

Lets start some feed back so we can set things up or we can scrap it as a one time only event.

Why not test ourselves on every course available to us? On the sanctioned or non thought . . . I vote for sanctioning. Last year at the Reed Saturday, I played the first round with Geoff Bennet and Chris Boro, a couple of Michigan pros who were in town to play and earn some points. It speaks well of our community to have travelers visiting so early in the season. Bennet was cool, Boro not really, but it was still cool playing with them. All hail Green Country!

that is one vote for draft the team of TNT and one vote for using as many courses as we have and to sanction.

below is a list of possible courses in the N.E. Oklahoma area that might be usable, note that logistics will have to be worked out or the series may well run to as many as 6 weekends.

I also vote to sanction the tournaments. I'd vote for Hunter, Haiky, the lodge, Blackhawk, Bristow. I'd skip Chandler & Reed. I'm neutral on the other courses.

I vote for all courses and sanctioning as well. Hey did you guys know that Mack Taylor is actually my great great grandpa... Just a little tidbit of info. Looks like the Taylor Family actually has three courses......

Black hawk -red hawk
Hunter- sapulpa
Pawhuska -both courses or throw in Bartlesville
Chandler -Reed (with extra holes)
Copperhead - 2 days two separte events

Thats 12 events over 6 weekends

natural pairs of courses for play would look some thing like this:
Haikey Creek (if back in play) / Hunter Park
McClure / Dovillio
Mohawk Black / Red
Chandler / Riverside (if back in ground)
Mac Taylor / Owasso
Reed / Copperhead (provided no fee to play)
Kelly Lane / Bristow
Sooner / Lodge (or lodge all day using both courses)

only Muskogee has no natural pair for a two course day of play.
this would be at least 8 days of play, four weekends and that in and of it's self will require long term scheduling to avoid Ice bowls, GCD, Chandler Stock, and other long standing events. it would be nice to do the wrap up at the Lodge as a preview for the NT as we did with the Judge at the Hawks this year.
I would also welcome a new front man to run this if some one wants too.

Jay, sounds great almost like a 2 day at Pawhuska with one day of red and blue and one day of white and the new course there on the creek. I do think we should do it somewhere within a month of the NT as a preview event if Big Jim and the scheduling permit.
