Since I don't post on the PDGA board, I will post here instead.

If you are looking for someone to vote for this weekend, I would appreciate your vote. Thank you!

Well, the Oklahoma Open has come and gone. Centennial was well received my the majority of the players. The only complaints are the lack of tee pads, which will be taken care of in the coming days. The course proved to be more challenging for some than others. Many rounds were either made or lost on this course. The best scores for the course, using all long positions, was a 44 by Eric McCabe, who went on to win the event in the final 9 holes at McClure park.

The City of Owasso will be installing permanent trash cans for the course. In the spring we will begin the campaign to get more benches and bag holders at each tee pad. The new tee pads will measure 12ft long, 4ft wide in the back and 8ft wide in the front. Thsi should accomodate the various shot to different pin locations.

Thanks to all that played this course for the first season and I hope to make it a better course by the spring season.

Dics are no longer for sale at the Shell station in Owasso. The owner of the store was a victim of a corporate take over and they bought his lease. I had to move everything out this morning as thats when he found out about it. The new owners have already talked to me about putting them in another one of their stores here in town. Hopefully in about a week we will have them for sale once again.

Thanks

The course will be used for the Oklahoma Open "A" Tier event. Due to the harvest festival, we will only be able to use the course on Sunday. If you would like to see some of the top PRO golfers from around the country, come out on Sunday Oct 25th. The rounds should begin about 8:00-8:30.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Centennial Park in Owasso will be getting concrete tee pads a little quicker than we thought. They will be installed and finished by the week of October 5th. They will measure 4ft in the back, 12ft in length, 8ft wide in the front and 1/2 inch above grade.

This essentially puts us about a year ahead of schedule and will allow us to move forward next spring on other planned amenities.

Now, the real upside to this is, NO volunteers will be needed!

This is a turnkey installation. I only have to oversee the location and finsih.

Construction should begin in the next few days and continue until it is finished. Please be patient and play around them if you are out there.

This has all beed provided through an anonymous donation to the city to be exclusive for the disc golf course. I personaly would like to thank the donor and we should all be very greatfull for their generosity.

There, hows that for an announcement?????????
