It's basically the same putt, except the disc is upside-down. You have to give the disc a slightly exaggerated anhyzer as the side that's spinning forward will drop quickly. It allows for an arced trajectory, not unlike a basketball free throw and at least for me is a very high percentage shot. It is also much less likely to hit and roll on a missed shot. You won't have the same range as with a regular turbo for obvious reasons, so you get a feel for what your twist range is and I'll use a turbo outside that range.

What is different about the turbo twist?

How about that... I've never seen anyone in my 33 years of playing disc golf do turbo putts outside a handful of us in Gainesville, Florida. Right now, I'm about the only one left who uses that putt. Do y'all know the difference between a turbo and a "turbo twist?" I generally use the twist inside 20 feet, turbo to about 40, from outside that range, I use the traditional backhand putt. What I like about the turbo, and the turbo twist in particular, is that if you're a nervous player (like myself) and have a tendency to hang on to a back hand when tense, you'll easily miss left or right, but with the turbo and twist, you'll rarely miss left or right, you only need to really focus on the height. Unless you get an unlucky hit and roll, a miss is a gimmie.

well i'm guilty of turbo putting in public. lol ... the turbo works best for me inside the 27 foot range... i need more work on outside that distance.

Thanks for joining. I am curious as to how many of you hook the 2 middle nuckles under the rim when you turbo putt. I have heard that a lot of people do this. I have always just left all 4 fingers on the outside with the thumb in the middle. Seems to work for me.
