My daughter got me hooked. I'm not normally a huge vampire fan, but I did love these. I also enjoyed the movie and thought they did a fair job of translating the book into the movie, as good as most anyway.

That is pretty much true in any series. The movies will never do books justice because movies are so visual and leave nothing to your own imagination. In a book, however, once you are swept away, it all becomes real, the smells, the feel of the air, the sounds of their voices as you hear them. Its quite surreal.

my wife has been hooked into those books since she watched the movies i believe shes on the last one right now after shes done reading them i figured i would give it a shot

In my opinion, the movie does not do the book justice. The books are much more emotional & intense. Maybe they'll do a better job with the second movie.

I like the movies. Heard the books are great but I have the attention span of a 2 year old. If I knew how to sit still i would prolly read em all in a day tho!
