Some tournaments have the rule that beer is prohibited during the event!! Horrors!!

Then there are events where beer is no only allowed... not merely encouraged ...but absolutely required! Oh no. Twist my arm. Ok, twist it a little more please.

Of significant note is the 4 Keg Challenge, held annually at the Private courses owned by the Whites (Todd and Marnie) and the Laceys (Matt and Dawn) in Milford, Michigan. The divisions are divided by the alcohol rules: the mandatory consumption division, the optional consumption division (but with incentives built in for consumption) and the AA division which neither requires nor rewards drinking.

This last weekend was the tournament weekend. Friday was the warm up party. Saturday was the 4 Keg Challenge. Sunday was the Ace Race ( a separate event). Todd, once he recovered, reported that 133 gallons of beer were consumed during the weekend.

The tournament started with a mere 4 kegs on hand, thus the name, but has expanded as the field and the thirst of the competitors has increased.

Safety is strongly encouraged. This year the mandatory drinking division required competitors to surrender their car keys and camp on site.

Don't forget that in a tournament that does not allow drinking that not even the caddy is allowed to have a brew. Its sad to have to walk around carrying a bag without playing a single hole and you can't even have one.

The 4-keg challenge is definitely bigger, but I still think Chachi the Beer Wench is better. CHAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds like lunch time at tournaments here.although jager bombs seemed to be the drink of choice at a recent tourney.i know guys that cant throw with out lubrication and i know i throw better with a beer in me(only time i will have a drink in the morning) plus i dont know what its like in the lower 48 but discgolf seems to be very 420 tolerant
I just purchased a new building for DiscZilla Sports and found the previous owner had converted 1/3 of it into and old time saloon. Now after you play a round of golf here at our store you can relax by the bar. Our night golf events always include a Keg. When in Colorado stop by, try our home brew, and play a round of golf. We have RV hookups, camping, and stables if you are in to horses.
