Club meeting notes for March 17, 2009

Lots happened but here is the short version (long version attached)

The attending members voted in the following positions without any objections:
John Stone - Chairman
Shawn Barnett - Treasurer
John Hodgkins - Secretary
Kevin Maloney - Committee Chair

We will continue to have an open position of Sub Chair to be filled by club vote at a future meeting.

We had a great conversation about The future of disc golf. The discussion revolved around where future courses would go and the final verdict was, if you have some where you want to put a course then throw a tourney there and start playing at that location on a regular basis.

Thank you to every one that purchased Bag Tags tonight. We now officially have numbers 1 through 26 in play. Next time you are at Westy or even Dexter look for players with a lower number Westmoreland Winds bag tag and challenge them for that number.

On that subject we finalized by 100% vote the Club team name as the Westmoreland Winds or Westy Winds for short. Watch the Westmoreland DGRUS page for information about a competition for who can design the best team logo.

Thank you for posting the meeting minutes Hodgkins! That was a great meeting! I wanted to thank everyone who made it, everyone who volunteered for our Tournament Committee and everyone who participated in the discussion. We have a great member base and because of you it’s going to be a GREAT year for the Westy Club (AKA Westy Winds).
