The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Hello all,

What’s your favorite Disc? Be specific if you want, list your Favorite Driver, Putter, Mid-Range, Side Arm, Hammer, ect....

This could help us know what discs we should get for our next tournaments and is a great topic of conversation.

Regards,

Shawn

I love the Roc! It's the best all around disc out there and can be used by anything! Teebirds are my preferred drivers and APX for putting. The APX was my first putter and I've stuck with it because it flies soo strait!
I like Destroyers for distance, but I haven't got them under control yet, I like the Beast, which I throw the most, because I can control what it can do, hyzer, anhyzer, etc..., and I only putt with "Steady-Ed" putters, like "The Blowfly" or "The Blunt", and my favorite mid-range is a toss-up between a Star TL and a "Cro"
___Tab
My favorite disk is a floppy disk
Well as a fairly new player I noticed a drastic difference in my game with the release of the Destroyer. Now though I have more snap and power I have found a Love for Eco Xcalibers, Max, and Firebirds. I also have been starting to throw Roc's and Gators more often. And for a Putter I love the JK Aviars and Super Soft Wizards.....

Jonny Roc
My new found love for distance driving is the PRO Destroyer! For mids I like the KC Roc for a stable flyer but for sweet anny's with tons of glide I grab the Discraft Meteor. If you have not tried this disc you are missing out!! Putt's and most shots under 250' go for the JK Aviar.
Driver: Beast
Mid: Buzz/Cobra
Putter: Soft Magnet

I think a Beast, especially the lighter ones are great at gaging your power. As a new player the Beast always went left. As I increased my speed I noticed that he would helix really well and now with slightly more power they turn over completely. The lighter version is also great for analyzing your throw. For the same reason above you can judge how hard you throw it vs how strong of a spin you get on it based on how the disc flies.
Starfires and Orcs are all the new craze these days.. They got put to the wayside with all the faster discs that have come out... I think they are making a comeback.. wait and see... Orcs will still hold that anny line longer then most discs if you crush it like the chains are on the moon.. well.. maybe its an orc I'm talking about... mine is an X-out with no tag, so i don't know what it is... maybe it is proto Orcfire... you never know... muhahahaaa
I prefer my Champ. TeeBird for drives on holes that are about 300' For a little more distance I go to my new 12 time Climo wraith. It has great glide and it dealt with headwinds well at Orchard. I picked up a Destroyer so I can't wait to see how that works out. For mid range I use a Kc pro Roc or KC Pro Gazelle. For Tomahawks I use a really old beat up Firebird, for thumbers a new Firebird and the same for shorter controlled forehand shots. And for putting I use a big bead Champion Aviar, Yea I'm weird but I sure putt well at tourneys. They are discontinued so the last two I ordered from Clearwater Disc Golf Store. Those guys hook you up , I highly recommend them for online orders. They give you a mini and stickers and a Foamie indoor flyer, pretty cool!
Destroyers are AWESOME! I love how long it holds the turn when its broken in.
It would be awesome to get some CFR TeeRex's for a fundraiser. i want one!!!
I like me a valkery for driving. I resently lost mine playing in some thick woods/thornbushes like a moran. I'm looking forward to getting a new one only this time in star plastic. My Omega is a great putter it is soft and will very rarely roll on a hill. People constently admire my omega and want to trade it. I think flimmsy rubbery putters are cool. They don't bounce off the chanis. They stick and fall.
my main westy discs...
driver: beast
mid: leopard/stingray
putt: rhyno/polecat
