Going to worlds 2008-I hope

I think I have the minimum points to get in as an alternate in the GrandMaster catagorie. If not I will volunteer,And if i don't get that arranged I'll be a spectator. Either way we(wife and me)will be there. Camping will be our lodging of choice(it is anyway!). I've been working toward this since Decenber '06,when Bruce Brakel suddested it. There is a lot to be done ,it's gonna be a busy summer!

On the same topic of "hoping to go to Am Worlds", what is the chepeast way to ge there if you don't live in the MidWest?

So far, the best deal I've heard is to take a plane to Chicago (or Detroit, I live on the West Side BTW) then take a train to Kalamazoo. It's cheaper than flying all the way and it is a one-day trip as opposed to a two-day train ride (this would only be fun if I could bring my basket with me and putt).

Any other suggestions would help, thanks.

Since you'll need a car to get to the courses anyway, fly to Detroit or Chi-town and rent a car there. 2+ hours and your in k-zoo!

Grand Rapids also has some cheap fares .... it's 1 hour (45 mins) north of Kzoo.

Let me know if you'd like to volunteer and in what capacity. I hope you get in as a Grandmaster but there are always opportunities to volunteer. :-)
