Well here we go.I have been playing disc golf for 15 years, and i have been part of alot of things in this sport but this one was a pretty great ideal.I am glad to have the chance to be part of it.I received Dad via hand delivery in Terre Haute IND from Jeffery Nugent and some of his friends on christmas eve. After getting the chance to introduce each other we played a very nice round of 18 holes.Jeff seems to imply in his story that i may have been taking it easy on them from my less then stellar performance, but i assure you i just sucked really bad lol.Dad did get me one of my few birds of the round on hole 17 so his grace was surely felt. This whole concept introduced me to some very cool guys from Indy, that i probably would have never met. When the round was over we shook hands wished each other a merry x mas and headed home.Once arriving home i cheerfully anounced to my family that we were going to have a guest stay over for the holidays. My daughter suggested i put him in our tree to be part of what turned out to be a great christmas.Being the holidays it took me awhile to get dad out to a course for some action, but i did.The bad thing to the story is i had some geat pictures of dad with me and the Effingham disc golf guys but my camera was stolen out of my car,so the picture of the tree will have to do.Never the less dad visited Effingham comunity park for two rounds of golf with me and six members of the club. The weather started out alright but got cold and wet as the day went on.I used dad on 5 holes the first round, getting me two birds and three pars finishing with a 54,the next round was pretty nasty so i kept him nice and dry for all butt the last hole resulting in a par leaving me with a 56.Although i lost my pictures i must say it was a very fun thing to be a part of,and all the guys from effingham wished your dad lots of luck and fun times on the rest of his journey.
I think that when "Robey the One" is through,
He'll take a detour.
Instead of working his way North and South, east to west,
He'll be sent to California and work his way West to East.
Robey the One, please write to me when you are ready to send him off.
I'll give the address to his next location.
Dad has made it safely into my possession. I don't know when I'll get out to play with him but for now he is chilling in the Disc King factory, he seems pretty happy.

Ok, here goes with the story. I got "Dad" in the mail on the 15th (I was out of town) I managed to get out on the 17th took "Dad" and some friends to Northwestway Park in Indianapolis, threw "Dad" on the 1st hole turned it into a roller and dribbled right up to about 15'. Birdie! Put him in the bag for the next couple of holes, Birdie! Birdie! Tried him on the next hole, Shank! OB. decided too understable to throw till I was out of the wind. Finished the round -3 pretty good for me. Took "Dad" to Avon Town Hall Park next, threw him on a tight little turnover hole in the woods, slid up under a bunch of leaves and made me hunt for him for a few minutes, my friends ragging me the whole time about losind "Dad" found him about 40' out from the basket, drilled the putt. Birdie! Best shot I made the whole round, +4 for the round. Had to wait until the 23rd before I could take him out again. Went to Blue Heron Park in Franklin In. Brand new course opened in October, really nice place. There were too many water holes for me to risk throwing "Dad" but carried him with me the whole round. Tough course, shot +5. Double bogie on the last hole. *sigh* Then lastly I took "Dad" on Christmas eve to meet Lee Castro at Deming Park in Terre Haute, I think Lee took it easy on us. Had a blast though. +5 at Deming though not good. "Dad" is now in Lee's capable hands. I must say I really enjoyed being included in this adventure.
Has anyone seen my Dad ?
It should be between Michigan and Ohio.
