Yep. I can't be 100% sure but that's been the story for years; at least that's the way I heard it from the locals. It would be cool if it could be verified in some way. You know, there might have been a plaque or something at the park stating this fact, I just can't really remember. But now thinking about, if there was, I probably would have taken a pic of it.
So yeah once again, that's the story. I bet someone out there would know for positively sure.
