It looks like a fly dye (professionally done spiral) and some one dyed in the dude (evident by the dudes color over the spiral dye) Still pretty cool. Heres my example, the disc was tye dyed at purchase so I put something else on it

Got this at Clearwater Disc Golf Store on our recent trip to Florida. I've never paid much attention to dye jobs, but this one caught my eye. Outstanding.
