are you coming to doubles to day

Sorry I hadn't responded back earlier on Tupelo. Been really busy with the tournament. I know they have a website. It is tupelodiscgolf.com. I don't believe it has pictures of each course but I believe it has a course map and distances listed. Might want to ask one of the Tupelo guys. I know Clayton Nash has a page here and might be able to help you out.

It all depends how hard you throw honestly. I prefer KC Whippet X for shorter spike sidearms with higher ceiling and enough room to get good carry on the disc. I prefer Champion Firebirds for all sidearms 350 and shorter because of their predictability, you always know that they are going to finish right no matter what. I range out with Champion Eagles because they are just a bit less stable and fly out a little further to about 350 to 400. I then would club up to my newly found favorite, the Star Max, for all sidearms over the 400+ mark. At that point their is no need to throw forehand, unless you really got it to range any further, its best just throw the long turning backhand. All other drivers that are less stable to straight are usually a little harder to control due to the increased snap and arm speed generated by the sidearm shot release. Keep in mind that those are all just personal preferences, but the example of clubbing up or down can be applied across the board into anyones game. You want to go with what you know and rely on the flight characteristics of the disc itself, manipulating according to the stability of each. Those are my forehand disc selections for all circumstances, gage in reference to how far you throw and you should be fine, just remember to always trust your abilities.

The sidearm is such a technical throw that it is very difficult to actually explain in words as opposed to showing you up front in person. But here is a few quick tips. As long as you have the grip correct, or as long as it feels comfortable to you because I might actually grip it a little different unless you have seen it. Make sure that the disc is placed back in your hand and it is a nice firm grip. Before we get into this, my first question is what discs do you throw for sidearm? Is it a primary shot or just for hyzer shots to the right? The be complete on the accuracy of the shot always starts with smooth, fluent controllable arm swing and always ends with a great follow-through. Really concentrate on your follow-through and were you want your arm to end up when you are finished with releasing your shot. Go ahead and try that out, get back to me and let me know how that works out for you. Also anytime you want, I will go through some steps with you, just come up and ask.
