Airy Again... Ice Bowl Krazy Series Practice

Played Mt. Airy again for a little Ice Bowl practice tonight. It wasn't too bad cold, about 38 degrees. Wind was pretty calm for "Airy".

It was me, AdamJ, EricS, Chad, and Russ Foster. Anyways, Adam had to show-off and play with two ProD Bangers only... and shot well.

I started off the round with two Bogeys, booo. I didn't get another bogey until 6 and 9 so I was playing pretty decent. I was +4 going into the green monster (10). I took 5 (stupid third shot) and then the Cincinn… Continue

Idlewild

You know, outside of Greater Cincinnatians (for those of you who do not know, that includes NKY and Cinci) I would not think that too many individuals know about Idlewild Disc Golf Course. Since I have started using this site, I have found others from all around that have great pix of Idlewild and some even have it listed in there top 5 courses. This is amazing...

I am not the historical-type or someone who knows a lot of history of DG BUT I do know that it seems others are just in love… Continue

Gulley in the snow

Played Gulley during and after the snow. It was me, DanH, and good 'ol Ken.

It was a pretty fun and WINDY round. Shot about +1, not horrible but not where I want to be.

I finally found a disc I think will be good and consistent for 8, a Pred. I had usually tried Trackers, but they go to far and get knocked down by the trees.

I threw the X avenger around and liked it pretty well. I think I should get an ESP and see if I like it.

I also worked my Sonic around th… Continue

A Great DiscGolf Saturday...

Today was a great day for disc golf. It was somewhat chilly but still with the sun peeking out it was beautiful.

We started Mt. Airy at 0930 (I was late and Matthew let me know about it). Doubles were a great time, we split up based on ratings. Stick was my partner, poor guy.

Hole 2, I must've seen one of the best shots ever. Stick threw his understable disc up towards the trees off the tee and it went all the way down the fairway and faded out for a 40-50' putt. CRAZY! That's… Continue

Trip to Chicago

Had a little road trip to the Chicago area for some course play on Saturday...

Started off the morning with Jericho Lake Park in Aurora. Beautiful course with short and long tees. Kind of wide open but with wind, anything was possible. I recommend taking a huk at this course if you are ever in the area.

In the afternoon we traveled to EagleContinue

Brad, our gang swept through your area like the weekend storm. We completed one round at Banklick between the raindrops on Friday, then waited out the storm front on Saturday morning before tackling Idlewild (twice!).

We headed back to Banklick on Sunday to exact our revenge for its Friday brutality, but we barely manged to improve our overall scores despite the calmer weather.

Got home late Sunday night, a little stiff and sore but already looking forward to Next Time.

Sorry we missed ya!

Sorry I won't make it in for this year's Disc 'n Dat tourney, Brad, but a bunch of us are coming down the first weekend in May for our annual visit to play some casual rounds. We'll hit Banklick and Idlewild hard (at least two rounds on each), plus we'll try to squeeze in a round at Mt. Airy and/or Pride Park.
