Mostly Backhand but some forehands too
When did you discover and begin playing this best of all sports?
My mom won a tourney when she was 6 1/2 months pregnant with me, so I like to say its in my blood. I never had to discover the game- it was just there. I have had a basket in my backyard my entire life. Some of my earliest memories are hanging out at the course and getting pulled around in a wagon. I didnt really start to take it seriously until 2001, but I have always thrown discs and been around the game.

Full Circle

I was playing the Creekside Open in 2003. I teed off on hole 10 with my nice First Run CE Roc. I threw it hard and flat, but yanked it a little. It hit a dry patch of dirt and took a huge anti-skip right into the creek. The creek was really moving that year and I ran up just in time to see my Roc floating down stream. I was pretty devastated as it was my favorite disc. That was the last time I saw it....until today.

The story goes something like this. When the creek mellowed a bit a local found… Continue

PPAI EXPO

The last two days I have been working for Par One, Inc. at the PPAI expo here in Las Vegas. Par One is a golf company that puts custom logos on every piece of equipment you can think of for golf. They now are also selling custom disc golf supplies as well. It was awesome to see discs and a basket in a real ball golf catalog.Plus, all of the staff that was there from Par One were very enthusiastic about the game.. They hired me to put on a putting demonstration and talk to people who wanted to kn… Continue

Happy Birthday, Cary. I've been watching your scores from a distance. Nice throwing.

What's up? NW is treating me real well. The courses are real nice. It's taking me some getting used to playing mountain golf. I've been playin real bad untill my final round at the downriver open. I finally figured out my rhythm. I shot a 4 down after struggling the first 2 rounds. Shi and I started a disc golf clothing company called Rhythm disc golf. Met Andrew Rich in Kennewick and he says hello. Just ran into Jeremy Thorton and he knew me before I know him. In everyones heads up here I'm suppose to be some kickass golfer and I've been pretty disappointing. You comin up for the Lilac City Open. Hope so we got some room for you. Pat Blazek is gonna rent a car and drive from Beaver State so catch a ride with him. Shi has been out on the links with me every day and she's playing her first real tournament at Cherry Hill in 2 weeks. Good luck and I hope to represent Vegas a little better in the next few tournaments!!!
