03/22/09 March Mush - Fitzgerald Park

The Mt Pleasant club had a pretty good showing at this tourney this year. I drove down with John (Nacho) N, Jordan B and Jason H and we met up with Mark B, Jeff L, Keith A, TJ W and Rose P.

Round 1

03/22/2008 March Mush (Grand Woods Park, Lansing, MI)

Saturday morning's drive to Lansing was a tricky one. The farther south I went, the more snow there was and the icier the roads became. I stopped by Keith's place to give him a ride to the tourney. It's always a pleasure to get some historical perspective (yeah, I'm older than him but he's golfed competitively much longer) on this sport and the local leagues. By the time we got to Lansing, there was 4" of the white stuff on the ground. March Mush had become "Spring Snow Surprise".

02/23/2008 MIDGC (Mt Pleasant, MI)

February 23rd - MIDGC Mt Pleasant:
In the morning, I paired up with John N (Nacho) and we played really well together, both hitting some nice putts and parking some drives. I parked Hole 1 for the CTP and won a disc so that was cool! We ended up 9 under and had the best round. Unfortunately, we hadn't paid for "Stroke Play" due to my ignorance but we did get our $5 back for winning our Match Play.
