I am thinking about running a collegiate tournament in Kearney next fall. If you aren't going to Georgia this spring, but want to in the future, you might want to get some experience playing as a team. We will most likely do the same kind of format (some singles and some doubles) that they do for Nationals. If you are interested, you should get together 2 or 3 other players and start practicing. Let me know if you think you could get a team together, or if you know of anyone else from Colorado colleges that would be interested in playing. I'd like to have representatives from all of the surrounding states to come to this tournament. I'll let you know what is up closer to the fall.

Appreciate it.

It was great to finish off the year with a solid win at Tupelo Bay.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of the PDGA event coverage on PDGA.com tomorrow.

Take care.

Yeah, we started a team at UNK (Kearney, NE) two years ago. We really don't get any help from the school as far as uniforms or discs, or actually anything at all. We run fund raising tournaments throughout the school year to help us pay for the gas, hotel room, etc. on our trips. We get a good response from local businesses that we ask to donate prizes for the fund raising tournaments as well. There is one sort of local collegiate tournament for us in Council Bluffs, IA, but the main one that we go to is the National Collegiate Disc Golf Tournament in the spring. You should check out their site www.ncdgu.com for details about that one. It is a lot of fun. Good luck with your team!
