On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am happy to announce the 2010 La Vie en Rose, a women-only PDGA event and Southern Nationals qualifier that will take place February 13-14, 2010 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. As you may know, last year the inaugural event hosted 67 female disc golfers. This year our tournament field will be limited to 84 competitors and we hope to sell out.
Registration is now open and instructions can be found on the official tournament website: http://julianakorver.net/rose/
In order to make the 2010 event even better for the women, we are reaching out to all those in the disc golf community that are interested in helping to raise the bar for our sport. Whether it’s a title sponsorship, a CTP donation, help with course preparation, helping to spread the excitement, or actually competing in the event, we certainly hope to be blessed with your participation.

Thank you for your attention. We’re hoping that in some way, whether big or small, you’ll be able to share a bit of your passion for the sport of disc golf with the ladies.
What's up F? Long time, no talk - hope everything's okay w/ you! Have you been playin' in all of this wind? Its been pretty fun trying to, kind of mixes things up and makes it more challenging! Well just wanted to drop ya a quick note, ttyl!
Have you been playing? I played Riverside and White River Monday, then White River last night, but needing to get back to Stilly soon! Anxious to check out this new Innova disc "Roger", speed rating of 14?
So we played glow out at Stilly earlier tonight, the rent a cops came thru, just did a quick drive by, one of the new guys that just started playing with us bolted so fast back to his car, we just pretty much laid low and he left, didn't stop, but as for the newbie, he was gone after just 3 holes! This weather's been awesome for glow! Every Wed, gonna have to hook up some time!
Went and played White River today, I've never walked thru so many spider webs, it was irritating! I wasn't throwing way off course, just seems like the weather change brought 'em all out! Brought a Valkyrie my wife bought me out, broke it in pretty good, hit a few trees here and there, now it breaks right, didn't know they did that!
You should go check out the Lakewood Course up in Burien, there's also a new disc shop up there too. Have you been to Mando's up in Auburn? They've got tons of plastic, but can't touch Ray's prices. No one sells my favorite anymore, its no longer being made either, the X-Clone.
Seatac is pretty cool, but I'd rather play at Burien's Lakewood Course when I'm up in that area. Fenwick is small and okay, but seems like whenever we play there we move onto another course. Tomorrow we're playing at Stilly, I want to get back into playing glow!
Very cool, a local! Stilly's my home course too :) Seems like years ago you could go out there any time and play, but now its picked up so much out there its incredible! Wish there was an organized night for glow, like they used to do out at Riverside!
Welcome to "DGRUS" - which is what we use as shorthand for www.DiscGolfersR.us. This network is operated by my wife, Sheila Calhoun, and myself. Please don't hesitate to ever provide feedback, and especially let us know of operational problems or of people violating our guidelines, the most important of which is, "Behave as though everyone in here is your friend!"
Among other reasons, we created DGRUS to provide disc golfers with a place on the Web where "On the Internet" does NOT mean "In your face." Please check out the full set of guidelines if you have any questions about that: http://tinyurl.com/DGRUS-guidelines.
The network's value is increased with each new member, especially when they share. So please use the "Invite" feature - http://tinyurl.com/DGRUS-invites - to urge your disc golf buddies to also join.
We'd like everyone who visits - more than 30,000 people a month - to join, but nearly everything is viewable even to those just browsing through. There are various ways for you to control who can or cannot see things that you post, and there are also various ways for you to control the email messages you get (or don't) telling you about things happening in the network. Please do share photos and videos, and join in forum discussions. There are nearly 700 clubs in here and you can start your own public or private one. We love it when members share posts in their blogs. As well, you can use the DGRUS Remarkd Flymart to either sell or buy disc golf stuff.
Never hesitate to contact us. You can use the internal messaging system, the "Report an Issue" button at the bottom of each page, or email us direct at terry.pirate.calhoun@gmail.com and sheila.m.calhoun@gmail.com. If you feel the need, you can even call me at (734) 355-0431.
Finally, please support our supporters, whose advertising you can see on every page. We started this totally as a fun project, but it grew so fast that we could not maintain it without their support.
Thanks for joining us. We truly hope you that this network magnifies the fun you get from disc golf.
