If nothing else, you are going to be very close to some great mountain golf when you get here! Sundance and Beaver Meadows are both just up the hill from Owl Canyon. And that is a good thing!

Jim I posted a topic about fixing a disc a while back like this and there was an uproar about how I was attempting to skirt the rules around modifying a disc. I agree with your assessment that repairing a disc is not modification but rather…

Oh yeah, any level of difficulty is nice but I do appreciate a challenge. I am looking for tight fairways, shaped shots, requirement to have multiple shots in the bag, and holes long enough or with enough water to provide a challenge for an advanced…

Best Courses In the South? (Cross Country Road Trip)

Ok guys, I've got an internship in Colorado this Spring on an organic farm (super psyched for this). I'm living in Florida and I need to have my car there so part of the whole experience is going to be a 2200 mile road trip from here to there in mid-March/early April.Since it's winter and I want to avoid icy and snowy roads as much as possible, I'll be hugging the southern coast of the US and then going straight up to CO. Here's what my route is going to look like (somewhat):…See More

Hmm you should definitely take pointers just be careful who you get them from. Usually if they aren't a touring pro you're better off hitting youtube or figuring things out for yourself.

Basically the difference is that while discs may have different ranges and speeds, they also have different initial flight plans. However hard you try, making a firebird fly in a straight line is going to be a helluva task. In the same vein, having…

Roadrunners are money. Start off as great turnover/touch discs and become great rollers.

We had 3 baskets stolen when the course in Malabar, FL first opened.. Then they came back and stole every other chain off some of the baskets. The only suitable punishment is castration.

Echo Star Plastic

Why are all of these discs green? I love the plastic, but who wants all green discs that disappear when they hit a bush?I understand that they're "greener" for the environment but it just seems impractical..  See More

Hi, Ian:

Welcome to "DGRUS" - which is what we use as shorthand for www.DiscGolfersR.us. This network is operated by my wife, Sheila Calhoun, and myself. Please don't hesitate to ever provide feedback, and especially let us know of operational problems or of people violating our guidelines, the most important of which is, "Behave as though everyone in here is your friend!"

Among other reasons, we created DGRUS to provide disc golfers with a place on the Web where "On the Internet" does NOT mean "In your face." Please check out the full set of guidelines if you have any questions about that: http://tinyurl.com/DGRUS-guidelines.

The network's value is increased with each new member, especially when they share. So please use the "Invite" feature - http://tinyurl.com/DGRUS-invites - to urge your disc golf buddies to also join.

We'd like everyone who visits - more than 30,000 people a month - to join, but nearly everything is viewable even to those just browsing through. There are various ways for you to control who can or cannot see things that you post, and there are also various ways for you to control the email messages you get (or don't) telling you about things happening in the network. Please do share photos and videos, and join in forum discussions. There are nearly 700 clubs in here and you can start your own public or private one. We love it when members share posts in their blogs. As well, you can use the DGRUS Remarkd Flymart to either sell or buy disc golf stuff.

Never hesitate to contact us. You can use the internal messaging system, the "Report an Issue" button at the bottom of each page, or email us direct at terry.pirate.calhoun@gmail.com and sheila.m.calhoun@gmail.com. If you feel the need, you can even call me at (734) 355-0431.

Finally, please support our supporters, whose advertising you can see on every page. We started this totally as a fun project, but it grew so fast that we could not maintain it without their support.

Thanks for joining us. We truly hope you that this network magnifies the fun you get from disc golf.

- Terry Calhoun
