The ion does come in different plastics. I throw the r pro rhyno for putts and approach. I also have a ion. I like the ion for jump putts but prefer my rhyon for everything else.

I only threw one a couple of times. For me personally it was too stable. I did purchase the axis by mvp and really like it. Its less stable then the vector similar to a buzzz. I also like the ion quite a bit.
