I started with a Thumbtrack Birdie but switched to Aviars for more glide. "Sugar" Shack is the only pro I recall that used a Birdie and may still do. I use Spiders also for windy days.

Don't give up before you try Gateway putters.. I see a lot of people with gateway in their bag just for the putters.

If you are going to try out any putter, try a Rattler. I dabbled with them for a decade. Now I throw them more than any other disc. Jim Kenner (owner of Discraft) carried one and used it to play catch with before rounds. So I played catch with on...

and to think, for some, ppl don't think a second time about picking up a disc. you're either hooked like its crack-rock, or never try it again. i don't think there is an inbetween.

okay, been using the aviar for almost a month now, and not liking it a bit. as a beginner, my strength was in putting, and i feel i have lost confidence in it now because i wanted to give the good ole college try on using a new disc. So, i'm gonna...

you're an Ape,... what's overkill about it, lol?

So many ppl agree with you about mastering midranges, putting, etc. before driving with "drivers". I guess i'm the odd ball because I don't think that is the best approach. I would agree if the discs all felt the same, had same dimensions, etc., ...
yesterday
"Innova Viper" and i'm glad i lost it, lol, way too overstable for a beginner and not much glide, so it only added to the Guaranteed Hyzer i was naturally throwing.

I just had this explained to me by a friend on here, i had the same question. Apparently, Disc Golf Clubs are the creators of these tags and they hold meaning/value in Heirarchy. For example, if in our club, we had 25 members, then there would be ...

Its funny that you ask that, I almost exclusivley throw innova champion plastic, but at my home course we have this hole I have aced 5 times with a discraft flick. I CANNOT throw discraft, but I just so happen to have most of them with that one disc, and my first one was with a discraft, so 6 of my 7 aces are with discraft, but honestly, I hate discraft. What about you? How many aces you got? I see that you haven't been playing that long, but some people hit them right away.

Thanks for the invite and the comments! You're the first Texan on here I've seen so far. I'm thankful you posted your top courses, too, as I'd like to try them....ummm, when I get better at it, of course. :)
