Jim Coonradt replied to austin edward sharpe's discussion 'legal disc'
I used a soldering to repair a DX TeeBird. It worked and you can't tell that there was any hole in it. However, it is currently in the trunk since I already have a couple of replacement discs. I might pull it out for league if I really need a…

Here's one. Say you are throwing a DX plastic disc and it hits a sharp object and gets a hole poked through it. Supposedly it is then not legal. Let's say, however, that you then use a heat source to melt the plastic back together so that…

Jim Coonradt replied to david swamp thing black's discussion 'Do the number of doosh bags you meet increase as you make your way through the ranks?'
I have run into more than my fair share of those groups on the course. Everything they say is amplified because they believe that others actually want to hear what they have to say (useless babble of course). And then there is of course the phrase…

I have heard the tips like hanging the towel underneath the umbrella to keep it dry, bringing an extra towel in a Ziplock bag, bringing extra socks, treating the shoes with Tectron before you go out.  I always thought that it would be great to…

Jim Coonradt replied to Dusty L. Kerr's discussion 'SNAP HELP !!!!!!!!'
IMHO, if you don't set up with the proper foot work you will not get good snap. Snap isn't all about what you do with your hands. What you do with your feet and the rest of the body is just as or even more important. A good transfer of…

Hey Jim, just saw your post on the forum about vandalism. One local park has put cameras in bird houses close to some of the holes. Unless you knew they're in there you wouldn't have a clue. Just an idea and I didn't respond on the forum in case the d-bag that did the vandalism would happen to see it.

Hey Jim. FINALLY got to throw my Medusa a bit. THANK YOU for turning me on to it! That thing SAILS! I was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful flight too. Slightly understable for me, I pulled some AWESOME flex shots with it out to about 340ft, which is a HUCK for me.... Thanks Again! Give me advice anytime! :)

I love the sport of disc golf and believe that you should always do things your own way. Advice is nice, but find your own style and rhythm. The part of the sport that I do not like so much is all of the par threes. I love huge courses with par fours and par fives. I love also to play "Safari", which is when we go to the local course and combine holes to make very large shots. I don't really have that big of an arm, but I can gun a Banshee in from 100+ feet with a sidearm. Some people think I'm nuts, but that just makes me try harder.
