Here's a crazy idea. Leave it the way it is. Make your putt, no BS gimmes. It's not like someone inside 5 ft is taking all day to clean it up. And I have seen 5ft putts missed. Are you trying to take all the drama out of the match? Imagine the press…

ROC for me. You can get a ton of distance out of a ROC, they are top shelf up shot discs and putt very well.

It would be cool if you also played the uilleann pipes, hurdy gurdy, oud, santoor and yue qin.

Just picked up a stack of these yesterday. Managed to get in some throws and like them so far. Took a while to pick out a set that had similar characteristics. Some were very domey and others slightly domed to somewhat flat. I took a couple old scho…

Practice paying off. If it's because of picking up trash you could cut your instruction lessons down to 5 seconds ;) awesome gesture though picking up trash.

The best discs are the discs that fly best for you. Try different discs out and see how they fly for you.

Dealing with an "$#&*" in your group.

We have all been there. In a group, ready to play, excited about being on the course and looking forward to a good time. Only problem is "he's" in the group. You know that guy, he swears after every shot, the world is against him, garbage cans and tee markers fear him and he just seems to always make things a little uncomfortable for the whole group.

This can often be a touchy situation. Part of you says tell this joker to hit the road while another part says let's just play. Sadly i have been… Continue

Juggling family and disc golf.

Lets face it, disc golf is a part of our lives. So much so that we find ourselves here on DGRU reading everything we can about our sport and surrounding ourselves with like minded people. For some life is waking up, possibly eating and then hitting the course. For others like myself those days are gone and we find ourselves married now, maybe raising children and we have to juggle our time spent between our 2 loves.

For this group i am writing this blog today...

For me things are running prett… Continue

Feeding on the positive.

Funny how sometimes taking your focus off of your game can actually improve your game. I find this site and reconnect with some long lost friends. Amped up I headed out today and played a solo round at my local DGC Riverbends. Now usually my solo rounds are all about serious practice. Today was a bit different. My focus was less about my round and more about the great time that is disc golf. Thinking about the great rounds I have thrown with these and other friends over the years. I let go and h… Continue

Matt,
Kensington redesign was done by Jim Kenner. I have only played 1-18 so far, which was all that was installed before I left for Kansas City (world championships). When I get back I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

Ya I've been to Seven Star. They do have a nice selection, I was just curious if there was anywhere else. As far as my question i was just curios because I found a disc from the tourny last year. Im assuming it's a nice disc though because I played in the 09 Memorial tourny and they were giving away ROC's and Star Boss's. Just thought it would be nice to get some stats. Thanks for the email though.

Hey Matt,
It was a pleasure to meet you. One of these days the timing is going to work and we will play a round together. I live on the west side (Brighton) and don't get over to the east side often.
