When did you discover and begin playing this best of all sports?: I worked at Play It Again sports in '91, and started to play to learn the game so I could better sell discs. I played recreationally for a couple of years but mostly played ball golf until '99 when my first child was born. I could no longer afford ball golf 3-4 days a week, so I picked up disc golf. I could still play 4-5 days a week because I could take my daughter which my wife loved!

Fountain hills kills

Played the Fountain today, kinda on a whim since I was only 10 or so miles away. I threw pretty well but still managed to lose 4 discs to the evil lake that feeds the fountain. I had no retrieval device with me which made playing there very frustrating. I tried to play safe, but it was windy today and the visibility in the water was zero. two of the discs I lost landed 30 + feet from the water but the wind and the sloped ground fed my discs to their watery demise. But the inlaws are in town - so don't count on me 100%... if I can get away I definitely will! Tucson is forecasting rain - hope it remains nice and warm in the Valley.
