Worlds Blog #2 Random Fun

We had a lot of random, entertaining moments at Worlds:

I have mention the weather. I've lived in Kansas all of my life & was expecting the heat. Instead, we barely broke a sweat all week. Thank you Mother Nature for holding back the 100+ degree temps!

I played doubles with Olav; we met at Am Worlds in Flagstaff in 2005. We had never played together before, but Olav's expectations weren't high. He wanted us to finish in the top 10. The first round, best shot, went well. We saved eachother… Continue

Worlds Blog #1- Advanced Women

I took 13th place in a tough field. Not bad considering my shoulder was wearing down quickly through the week. Congrats to Mo on takin home the title. All the young girls in our division did really well: Rebecca & Michelle Frazer, Paige Pierce, Haliegh Shepherd. I wish I would've been playing when I was a teenager. Congrats girls!

Cliff Drive in Kansas City

We drove to Kansas City yesterday for the Teepad Open at Cliff Drive. It was PERFECT!

I got my best friend, Ashlyn to go with me. She needs to work on her temperment during the rounds before we go to Worlds; she gets easily frustrated shortly followed by turret-like outbursts. Go for it? or lay it up...

I'm one of those golfers whose big head gets in the way of my game sometimes. I'm 40-50 foot out, thinking "I've got this putt." Within the last couple of years, I've learned that maybe that's not the best way; although, I'm a superb putter, taught by some of the best in the midwest. I like to impress the boys with my mad puttin skillz.

Adventure @ the Lodge

Even though I didn't get to play (takin it easy on the shoulder), I had a blast last weekend. It was my first visit to the Lodge in Pawhuska, OK; wow, what a place!

There were some pretty bad storms rolling through Kansas and Oklahoma Friday evening, so I postponed my journey down south as long as I could stand to. I saw your post on the DGA Gel Shockz. Not sure if you know this or not, but Phenix does make a smaller pair of Quad Shocks. I think the called the Quad Shocks .8, but I'm not surtain. However they made them for the vertically challenged. Not for gender diff.
My girlfriend had the same problem finding motorcycle gear. Seems she is just suppose to ride on the back of a bike and look nice! I couldn't believe it. They are just starting to make stuff for women. It's crazy!
