Soldier Springs Disc Golf Course.

After being turned down due to public access for the Deer Ridge course we set our sights on Soldier Springs.

We walked the 55 acres and started focusing on the 30 acres near the back of the property. We next designed a rough layout and played the course with a temporary basket. After that round we decided to make a few changes and redesigned four or five holes and played another round.

2010 PDGA Amateur World Doubles Championships

Man, I can't wait, it's almost that time again to head down to Wimberley, Texas. From what I hear, the creek and ponds have water in them this year which should make the tournament even more fun. It's been a couple years since I've played with the waterfall flowing so I'm looking foward to that for sure.

I'm dreaming of a White Round of Golf on Christmas Eve.

Current air temperature in DFW is 37 and the radar is awash in yellow, red, and orange, with a little green thrown in for fun. Today's high was 39 and that occured earlier this morning. The wind is from the west/northwest at about fifteen for now but around noon will pick up to 25-30 mph.

Hawai'i, The Big Island

We are down to two days before we leave for the big island and I can't wait. I'm not really looking foward to the plane ride but I know it'll be worth it when we get there.

My wife and I are going to celebrate our eleventh anniversary. We were going to go to St. Johns last year but the economy tanked so we decided to wait and see what was going to happen. July 4th Fundraiser

As many of you know, last Saturday, June 20th, two baskets were stolen from Weatherford DGC.

At this time we only have 174.00 in our course fund due to the recent transfer of over two thousand dollars for cement teeboxes. We cannot afford the replacement costs at this time so instead of the normal mini on Saturday, July 4th, we will be running a fundraising mini.

This will be a singles event with the ace pot in effect, along with CTP's. We will try to have CTP's for all eighteen holes… Continue

Oak Ridge Disc Golf Tournament 2009, uh Now 2010 !!!

This will be the only tournament held at Oak Ridge Disc Golf Course this year. It will be held on Saturday, June 27th.

This is a private course in Gainesville, Tx. The tourney will be two rounds of 28 holes. This course was designed and installed by a good friend of mine who has played open for many years and I consider it to be one of the best courses in the entire state. This tourney is an invite only so RSVP if your interested in getting on the list.

Saturday there's always some kind of "pick up" at Roosevelt around 9. Sunday am singles round at Roosevelt at 7:30 am, followed by random doubles at 10:15/10:30. Monday pick-ups around 9, sometimes 10. On the holiday earlier is best as the park does get heavy traffic. Monday afternoon at Ladera, this will probably not have any traffic in the pm. Wednesday random draw doubles at 5:30 . Hope this helps.
