If i'm 16 now, and am going to turn 17 this july, would i still be able to enter the junior 2 division at sanctioned disc golf tournaments?

Yes. You just have to be under 17 at sometime during this calendar year and you are.

The spike really is an amazing disc, i would try that one, the thumb traction pads on the tops, seem interesting at first, but they really help out in the long run
