Right on brother, welcome to the game that locked me in a long time ago. I do get a kick out of this site listing me as a "Rookie".
Since you have just started tossing discs I will give you a 'drill' that I used to rock to get hella accurate withing the 300 to 400 foot range. Take a bro to a football feild and play "enzone to enzone" catch. The trick is to keep your shots low (hyzers/annys/flat-n-level) and before you know it you will master 300-330 footers with each applicable disc. Once that is mastered, take all of your drivers/long approach plastic and use the line under the goal post as your release area and shoot for an air shot between the goal post on the other end. Post to Post is 360 feet and beyond is 360+.
I was driving from San Diego to the S.F. Bay area yesterday and took the time to power thru the back 9 at the "Origional" disc course in Pasadena, Ca.
I was freaking on-it! I shot a 22 with 6-birdies and one Bogey. Blame that boggie on a scandally clad hottie.
I went back to the basics (for fun) and enjoy taking money from "local chislers" at various weeklys. This is my 30th season of disc dolf and as you know, there are great rounds and there Phuck'it rounds.
