Another new Personal Best at Pier

I was just about head south down to Champoeg when Kuhly called me over to Pier for a couple of rounds. I started poorly with an infuriating bogey on 2, but got it back with my first ever birdie on 9 (40' putt). Par the rest of the way, until a missed 25' par putt on 18 which caused me to settle for a +1 round.

Second round was +2 with bogeys on 13, 14, and 18 and my first ever birdie on 6 long (another 40+ footer).

Tuesday Twos finale

I didn't slide into the finals last night, and I was kind of glad. Played very relaxed, and had a great time. Probably the most fun I've had in a TT round this year, probably because there was zero pressure. Shot a very nice -15 - Kent and Sam tore it up with a -18.

Good thing this was the last week, I suppose. By the time we finished throwing playoff holes and ace pot CTP it was completely dark. Tons o' fun.

Tuesday Twos recap

The Tuesday Twos regular season ended this week, and for me it ended with a whimper and not the bang I was hoping for. I went into the week holding onto the eight spot, and finished the evening tied for fourteenth. All I needed was a mediocre -10, and we finished with a -8. Oh, well. It happens. New Personal Best at Pier Park

I played a bag tag match at Pier Park yesterday morning and dropped from 25 to 35, but only lost by one stroke and shot a new personal best of +3. I had previously shot +4 on two occasions.

Haven't played Pier for several months and forgot how much I missed it. I hope to get back very soon.

Hot! Hot! Hot!

I played Tuesday Twos and had a blast, as usual. The weather was about 100 degrees when I got there, and I was seriously gassed after a practice round. It took about 20 minutes to catch my breath, but was ready to go by the time we started and I didn't really have any trouble after that.

It's supposed to be hot again - I'll probably pass on playing at lunch.
