After finishing 4th in the Am Nationals it was time to test the Open (Pro) division. This last weekend I attended my first ever tournament in which I entered as a professional. It was in Indianapolis, The Checkered Flag Open. I entered the Master Division. I had played this course several times in the past as an amateur at this same event over the years. Played in the local best shot Monday at Rum Village. Drew the wild-man, paid for the extra shot. Went out and shot -13 on 18. I got 8 of 9 on the front nine. Hit a few long putts along the way to do so. The game feels real good right now. I think its time to move up and play in my first Open event. The Checkered Flag Open is this weekend, Sunday. The only decision I have left is....do I play Open or Open Master?!?

If only...oh well! I cant tell you how many strokes I left on the course other than this; more than enough to win this thing. It just wasnt meant to be. I had a blast all three rounds and couldnt have hand picked a better bunch of players to be grouped with all weekend. Thanks to those guys for being supportive.

Well here we go. First one of the year and really the first of of several years, at least so it seems. Going to play in the Moraine Challenge in Valpo, Ive done well at this course in the past. This is what I need to get on track for the United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship in Milford, MI in 2 weeks. Wish me luck!
