I just got back from a single round "club flight" mini tourney and I must say I have a smile on my face :). Mostly that's because I carded my second ace in a round--first in a tourney--on hole 12 at Albert Oakland's Back Course! Once again my ace ca…

Final 9 coverage online sounds like a great start! But this must first come via a dedication by the PDGA to be behind this and get the info out. They haven't even updated their website yet to report who won! :( Now I know that everyone is hurting fr…

I threw my first ACE today at #16 on Albert Oakland's bottom course here in Columbia, MO!! I used a 174g Champion Monster, threw a thumber, and it bounced up and straight in. I've been wanting that one bad and I threw an identical shot that missed a…

A place for people who have had an ace in 2009. Let's see how many people can get in before the year is out. Bag an ace and come on over to tell us about it.

As long as the bins aren't over stuffed the discs don't generally warp, I carry two large bins with me quite often to sell trade and give away at leagues and casual rounds, they ussually stay in my truck all summer once leagues start up.

For a while now, I've been wondering about the extent to which discs will warp if left in the trunk of my car all summer. I have a big tub of discs I usually keep in my car but now that summer is fast approaching I'm getting worried that my stock of…

Ace #2!!

I just got back from a single round "club flight" mini tourney and I must say I have a smile on my face :). Mostly that's because I carded my second ace in a round--first in a tourney--on hole 12 at Albert Oakland's Back Course! Once again my ace came from a thumber that bounced/skipped up and in. This time I threw a 169g Z Avenger. As an added bonus, it was also my first time winning our club's Ace Pool!

Unsurprisingly, carding a "1" was also a key point in my round, as the ace began my 7 unde… Continue

My First Ace!!

I threw my first ACE today at #16 on Albert Oakland's bottom course here in Columbia, MO!! I used a 174g Champion Monster, threw a thumber, and it bounced up and straight in. I've been wanting that one bad and I threw an identical shot that missed a foot left just yesterday, so it feels that much better. The best part was that twelve people witnessed it!! After so many close calls, I must say it feels good to finally join the Ace Club!

Happy Hucking!

Friday Afternoon at Indian Hills

I just got back from playing Indian Hills. I love going there when I really want a challenge, as it is easily the most difficult course in my area. Good mix of longer, open holes and EXTREMELY tight, wooded holes. I wasn't terribly mad with my 60 today, but I (always) wish my putting was better--more consistent. I guess the highlights were: 1) hitting the chains dead center and bouncing out for a birdie 2 on hole 3 with an approximately 100-foot anhyzer, and 2) my monster hyzer on hole 6, and 3)… Continue
