General Update

My computer keeled over on Oct 5 and I didn't get a new one until the 4th of November so I haven't been on to do much of anything for quite a while.

As to DG, I unfortunately went 3 months without hitting a course so I was extremely rusty when I went and played on Monday. I played Oak Grove and got in 1.5 rounds before dark. My scores were +6 (I was 6 over in the last 6 holes) and then I shot -3 on the additional front 9.

For field practice, I've thrown once or twice a weekend… Continue

Driving meltdown

I'm currently down to throwing 330-350 at best and with little accuracy. I'm not sure what's happening if it's a failure in technique or aging catching up with me (I'm 38). This past weekend was the first set of field sessions in ages where I didn't break 360'. I threw one 358 with my flippiest SL. It just kept drifting right and floating. Oh, I also gave myself a blood blister at my main rip point on my index finger. All my drivers are going about this distance unless I have a big form… Continue

I'm bored and it's been some time -

Field practice has been okay lately. Not great. Okay. I'm maxing out between 360 and 370 although my main field is unuseable due to reseeding and fertilizing. My aim is a bit less wonky than it's been over the last few months. I'm focusing more on a downfield target or line to hit so that's helped a bit. I'm still not feeling the big snap or effortless quality I was back in October but I'm working more consciously on that.

As to round play. I'm playing 2-3 rounds a week at a random… Continue

It's been a while

Due to general life situations I haven't been able to throw much lately so there hasn't been as much to discuss. I got out to throw twice this past weekend and things went more or less the same as before although my long throw was 375' with an SL. I was around 360' with the rest of my SLs and 345-360 with my TLs. I don't know if I'm getting my timing back or what's going on but the improvement helps. As it stands, I have more than enough D to handle my local courses. I've shot -2 on my home… Continue
