The "Rowden rule"states your first few throws arn't going to be as controled as the rest.Throw them softer and safer.

This could be the year some divisions could max out before it's open to everyone. GM Pro and Adv GM are both capped at 72 and I believe have a shot at filling just from invitees. Better make sure to get your entry sent before…

Points are bragging rights and not much more (unless your last name is Brakel, in which case points are building blocks toward Obelisks.  The Brakels own more Obelisks than most people have socks)  An invite to Worlds is an honor and not…

Do I need to play in an age protected division to get points for worlds in that division? No.  Like Chuck said, there are only pro and am points, not divisional points. Do wins matter or only total points? For a Worlds invitation, only…

There are only two types of points: am points and pro points. You earn Am points when playing any am division are allowed to enter and pro points when playing in any pro division you are allowed to enter. Your invite to Worlds is based on how many…

Some good news for a change!

Two pieces of good news,First for all fade bag owners.I got a fade(skull) bag last fall. This summer is ripped near the side zipper. The warrenty said a year so I sent it back, and they sent me a new one.Nice job fade people!Second I really like the star monarch,it fits right inbetween mysidewinder and my wraith.I wanted a back-up or two.when I went to my local disc store, they had a couple but wanted $75 each for them(ouch).I looked on line and found four for eighty dollars(disc golf values)and… Continue

So they yelled five times!

My sense of humor is truely tested when newbies(or pros) throw on the hole I'm playing.Sometimes the course is wooded or I'm on a dog leg and cant be seen, then its ok,but on open holes, its not cool.beyond the ovious(people could get hurt) lack of respect,or common sense.I am hoping to find a way to handle it better.(No felonies)

Great tourney Tallahassee

what makes an event great? For me,its challenging holes, good friends to compete with(thanks Jack),smart event planners, and nice weather.T.D. Bob was friendly and ran the event smoothly. The locals I played with were quality golfers and nice folk. the courses were hard(very). the format of 48 holes day 1 and24 day 2 is the best.only a handful of players came.why? no women came to play? we need more people to play in these events and I dont see how this could be run better.

I will admit I was a little panicked at first, but once I looked over the discs and didn't notice anything visibly wrong I considered myself lucky.

It would not have done me much good to get angry about it.  I was trying to stay in my "pre-tourney zen mode" where nothing can bother me whether it be a triple bogey on the first hole, or the TD running over my bag before the round.    I stayed in the zone all day and shot even from pro pads, jumping up 8 spots to finish 15th.  Maybe getting run over was good luck.    I did hit metal on hole 8 and survived holes 14 - 1 without a bogey.   That was a tough stretch that put a hurt on the other guys on my card.  *shrugs  :-)

Good luck runnin' the show next weekend.  Wish I could come watch.
