Fabulous Florida

After spending a couple weeks at home after USDGC, Avery and I bought the tickets and flew down to Florida last Friday. Escaping the snow just in time, we arrived in Florida on a beautiful 80 degree fall afternoon. Cliff Stephens was just as we left it last year, with a few exceptions of some cleared out trees and cleaned up shule. The squids were still there, getting discs for the ones not daring enough to wade around in the alligator infested waters, the spanish moss was still abundant swaying… Continue

CONGRATULATIONS BUCKEYES!!!

Greetings from www.waydowndisc.com in sunny Florida!

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am happy to announce the 2010 La Vie en Rose, a women-only PDGA event and Southern Nationals qualifier that will take place February 13-14, 2010 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. As you may know, last year the inaugural event hosted 67 female disc golfers. This year our tournament field will be limited to 84 competitors and we hope to sell out.

Registration is now open and instructions can be found on the official tournament website:
http://julianakorver.net/rose/

In order to make the 2010 event even better for the women, we are reaching out to all those in the disc golf community that are interested in helping to raise the bar for our sport. Whether it’s a title sponsorship, a CTP donation, help with course preparation, helping to spread the excitement, or actually competing in the event, we certainly hope to be blessed with your participation.

For sponsorship opportunities, please visit:

or contact the Tournament Director, Shawn Sinclair at:
shawn@peytondesigns.com

To keep current on course work days, please visit:

or contact me directly at:
mritner@knights.ucf.edu
or (727) 512-9696

Thank you for your attention. We’re hoping that in some way, whether big or small, you’ll be able to share a bit of your passion for the sport of disc golf with the ladies.

Yours in flight,
Mark “Denny” Ritner

Santa Cruz! Well welcome to Norther Cal. (the better half of Cal.) Once you get over the culture shock. I think you will like it up here. If you haven't been to it yet. You have to try Pizza my Heart. Best pizza in town!
Well, once again. Welcome to Cali!

Congratulations on you and your brother winning the KC Worlds!
I just want to let everyone know how gracious the two of you were to me. I have never been to a tournament that large before and it was exciting watching everyone play and getting tips from different players. It made me realize why you guys love the sport so much, it's like a huge group of your best friends and you get to play your favorite game with them and hang out. I loved that you could actually interact with different players and that they were really like everyone else, normal people having fun!! Well I had such a blast I can't wait for next year's Worlds :)
