You're not really a "casual" anymore, you're more like a "wannabe", lol.
I probably play more casual now than tournaments, and I think it's because they are more enjoyable rounds. Peace

They Call Us Casuals...

I'm no fan of labels. Never have been. Whether it be the newest intellectual or political movement (notice I separated the two), the latest pop-culture fad, a celebrity or musical act, or any other medium that opens itself up to branding by those willing to classify it, there's likely to be a few new labels associated. I, as I've recently come to discover, also have a label. I'm what some of you refer to as a "casual".

From what I understand (and that's admittedly very little), there are certai… Continue

Memorial Day...

Most posts of mine tend to be on the long-winded side. In this case, however, I think less is more. Therefore, here is my statement of appreciation:

All gave some, some gave all.
Thank you to those who have served.
Thank you to those who continue to serve.
Thank you to all those who laid down their lives so that I might stand.

Here's to a happy and safe Memorial Day to all.

After I had done a little maturing, I realized that the money paid to utilize this park was only going to enhance it. This was the first course I'd ever played, and even now, it remains my favorite. So, I caved and purc… Continue

Why Make it About Money?!?

Anytime I read a discussion or blog post regarding anything that has the slightest bit to do with making this sport more legitimate in the eyes of the general public, eventually the same topic arises. I hear things like "Man, if we could just build up this sport's popularity, then there'd be some real cash in it.", or "If we could get a few big names/sponsors to step up and endorse the sport, we'd have a shot at some big money.". I confess. I'm torn.

I find myself in an interesting predicament… Continue
