I remember going here as a kid. Three years ago I took my nephew there but did not go in. I then and there renamed the place Royal Gouge. The price they were charging just to get a close up view was outrageous. Earlier in the day the highest road ...

I use whatever the disc company dictates, i really like the thin large rimmed ones (ie. crush avenger ss) but i also thow a Comet for understable mids and it looks like a Frisbee compared to most of my discs.

Well as far as physics go you will be able to generate more rpms on the smaller diameter discs if you apply all the same forces to both. The extra rpms would allow the smaller ones to stay stable in the air longer. However the larger diameter allo...

Thank you for your kind words ! I also do 1860's mountain man events. I love them ! If you are wanting a thrower of that period that's pretty simple. If you are interested in something, just give me a desired length, and I can draw out something and see if that works.

Ed, What kind of magazine is Grant looking at there? You have to hide those kinds of things now that you have a little one.

Hey Edism..Hows that finger doing? Are up for leagues on Wednesday? We had a good time yesterday at the tourney. Me and Double-A-Ron tied for 6th place, so now it official! The rest of the clan had some rough rounds.

Did you find the stroller you were looking for?

Looks like Grant is keeping you up at night. Probably the reason that we don't see ya on the course much anymore.

Opps, just got your entry to SRO. Crush those guys!

Congrats Ed. I was looking forward to coming to this years SRO and dethrone you from the Adv Masters title but I see you're moving on & up. I guess the rest of us old guys will have to put the crosshairs back on Nichols. Good luck this year.

2 new DG players

I was able to convince my sister-in-law AMY and friend Mary to play the One Disc Challenge at North Wood County Park this past weekend. Amy had never played a hole and Mary only a couple rounds. Both would likely play in another tournament.

Gateway was very good with their sponsorship of the tournament and the gals came away with their first discs. My wife also played and had a wonderful time for her second tournament. How long before SB plays his first?

Arby's Dairyfling in Marshfield, WI 2009

One of my goals came true this past weekend when my wife played in the tournament. Andrea threw more in the tournament in two rounds than all other throws combined (practice, etc...). She made me very proud and would be willing to consider doing some more smaller tournaments.

I gave my sister in law some discs Sunday in hopes that she will play in local one disc challenge at the end of the month with us.

I am wondering while reading posts how many would be able to pass a simple English test.

Dairy Fling

Made it up in time to catch a ride to Marshfield, WI to play in the Dairy Fling sponsored by Arby's (they provided lunch) and others. Braem park is a relatively short course that is highly technical with a little luck thrown in. I shot good enough to win my division. It was good enough to beat everybody by 3, second round was bogey free. I need to suggest to the TD next year they should have a clinic to help the newer players. I know I would be willing to help along with several other players. T… Continue
