I try not to eat anything in the morning that gives me mud-butt. You never know when mud-butt will hit, and you don't to be in the middle of the first round and have that dreaded feeling hit you. There is nothing more worst then trying to hold bac...

also sometimes carry a blackjax lighted disc for those games towards dark. it may not be an awesome disc, but you really gotta throw it bad to lose it in the dark. it freakin flashes 3 red LEDs!!!

Stash Tray marker disc..keep those butts off the course!!!

Always bring back-ups to a tourney, but leave them in the car for some reason. I learned my lesson a few weekends ago when I threw my Buzzz into the edge of a temp hole "island basket" set up next to the pond at Rockwall. thank god for squibbs. got it back at the end!. but I missed that disc for 3/4 of the tourney and didnt have my backup handy :(

Raisins.pencils.spare marker disc.Sharpie.small pocketknife.PDGA card.some mints.
a goofy electronic score keeper thingy I rarely use. now carry some Birdie beads to help keep score. I got the skulls :)

Pro-Tip # 7

alright, not really a "pro tip" since I am not a Pro :)
"pro tip" has become more of an internet meme than anything. and there is no # 1-6. I just wanted to start with # 7 :)

anyway. the Tip is... Stop playing when you feel like you've hurt something!! apparently continuing to play and hope it gets better only makes it worse?! go figure!! haha.
I did something to my elbow several months ago and kinda brushed it off as mayb… Continue

The night before...

I did my good karma. picked up some trash on friday. played doubles and did crappy but had tons of fun.
went out today and helped spot for the first round.

thinking about my rounds tomorrow.

contemplating strategy? what strategy?! throw like I always do.. right?

back to Taos,NM for a few weeks! woo hoo!

Cant wait to get away from the Texas heat!! but I'll come back with only a few days till a tournament in the heat. sigh.

Anyways. I'm looking forward to getting to play Sipapu and twograyhares ( I hope I'm spelling that right) as well as the new course down the road a bit and maybe another course Ive missed in the area.
Sipapu is a butt kicker as it's up and down a ski resort .
and I know Bill and Susan Leslie travel a bit but it would be cool if they were in town as well.
I'll miss the Sunday… Continue

a few days later...

and three days sober now. I see things a bit clearer now. same old crap, different story.
I checked in to CPC millwood in Arlington but quickly went thru what Ive been thru before in the 8+ times Ive been in rehab/hospitals.
I realized that I am the only person that can keep myself sober. no god or group can do that but me.
I can play the same game Ive played before or tread a new path. but a familiar one.
I was sober for almost three years recently and went thru depression for the first time in… Continue

I posted a comment on your blog and after i read it i realized that it may have seemed directed at you. That was not my intention at all. I left it up because it says things that need to be read and thought about by certain people. The two issues go hand in hand.

Just thought i would say I'm sorry if it seemed like i was talking down at you. The fact that you are a very active member of this web forum alone shows that you are a major cut above a great deal of players in your involvement in this sport. cheers.

You should never pass up the chance to play Sipa. It is far superior to TGH and it is free and always is better condition!
