you can also look up any trophy shop, they will generally have the laser engraving and color dye-sub options for dog tags, luggage tags etc. It's good to support the disc scene as well your local mom-&-pops!

Another great job yesterday, my friend. But an absolutely monumentous day in the History of Bozeman, and Montana, not to mention Rose Park. You are the humble architect, the leader by example, and the respected center of it all, with much to be proud of.

After hearing your take on Rose vs States, I'm serious about offering to stay home that weekend, in order to keep our BIG MO GOING. I'm betting that Jake, BC, (and Josh) would help do another 6 tee pads for Rose, in place of going to the feared Diamond X. ( As always, I can take a few less pics and offer another strong back in the mix. :-)

We should take a quick straw poll.. if needed.

But again..great job- Mission (Practically) Accomplished!!

First baskets are placed at Rose Park today!! Muth and BTS assembled and installed the first 6 and the remainder will be put together tomorrow during the day. Thursday will be the first fully installed day of Rose for baskets. Still very primitive but will get in shape in no time. I'm sure by 5-6PM all baskets will be in place. OB markers will be installed in the next couple days for hole 1 and Hay bales are showing up for hole 8 on Sat morning... planning on playing some golf for the weekend :)

ONE 3 acre chunk for $1 million. Not 3 chunks. Probably going to make enough room for 6 houses for whoever buys it.// Which I suggested might be taken care of by a "court," type of road, rather than a whole street the length of the park.

During lunch I got a call from the head of the nieghboring church , John Gardner. The topic was about a road going in on the West side of Rose. He was calling to ask if we would be against not having a road there. I told him that I was glad he called because, as i had heard it, we needed to call him to aask him not to put one in, if possible. So needless to say, the conversation with him went well.

However, he is getting some pressure from someone/entity in the city to install 25th street! He has had representatives go around and around from paying for half a road, to needing only half a road, to they have to pay for the whole thing.

I told him my take on the issue was whether or not he decided to use the land in a way that might end up requiring a road. But all they have as a plan is to sell off three acres on their northernmost point of land (the corner of Tchsake and 27th..and butting up against our rose park most northWest corner.)

He was very adamant that the rest of the church property was going to be used for parking,. and that they would allow rose park participants to use that parking (they only use it on wed and sunday) He also said that the church would foot the bill for putting in walking trails along the length of rose where we will touch. He was very PRO ROSE PARK.

He is just a bit baffled as to why he is getting pressured to put in a street, when almost all the constituents involved, from CODE to City Parks and Parks Finance dept heads are all for no road. He has a submission for subdivision at the end of this month to parcel off the 3 acres, and wondered if we would do a letter to the powers that be .. stating that the road is a bad idea and the open space with added parking and trails is a much better and good idea. I told John Gardner we would do a letter and maybe even forward rally this to a few others in the city.. to do the same., and hopefully get the powers that be to look at it in this new light.

I even mentioned our concerns about the erosion of the space propsed in the grant application to FWP LWCF. And explained that even FWP LWCF would probably be game to write a letter (Walt T.)

You betcha.. lets knock down all our FEB and MARCH tasks to get the thing into fourth gear by June/July.
I just talked to Matt about any concrete contacts.. and he was void of any.. however i mentioned that he should be mentioning it to anyone in our circles that he is bumping into, presidentially speaking.
