After hearing your take on Rose vs States, I'm serious about offering to stay home that weekend, in order to keep our BIG MO GOING. I'm betting that Jake, BC, (and Josh) would help do another 6 tee pads for Rose, in place of going to the feared Diamond X. ( As always, I can take a few less pics and offer another strong back in the mix. :-)
We should take a quick straw poll.. if needed.
But again..great job- Mission (Practically) Accomplished!!
lookin forward to playin it next month

:>) been too long
However, he is getting some pressure from someone/entity in the city to install 25th street! He has had representatives go around and around from paying for half a road, to needing only half a road, to they have to pay for the whole thing.
I told him my take on the issue was whether or not he decided to use the land in a way that might end up requiring a road. But all they have as a plan is to sell off three acres on their northernmost point of land (the corner of Tchsake and 27th..and butting up against our rose park most northWest corner.)
He was very adamant that the rest of the church property was going to be used for parking,. and that they would allow rose park participants to use that parking (they only use it on wed and sunday) He also said that the church would foot the bill for putting in walking trails along the length of rose where we will touch. He was very PRO ROSE PARK.
He is just a bit baffled as to why he is getting pressured to put in a street, when almost all the constituents involved, from CODE to City Parks and Parks Finance dept heads are all for no road. He has a submission for subdivision at the end of this month to parcel off the 3 acres, and wondered if we would do a letter to the powers that be .. stating that the road is a bad idea and the open space with added parking and trails is a much better and good idea. I told John Gardner we would do a letter and maybe even forward rally this to a few others in the city.. to do the same., and hopefully get the powers that be to look at it in this new light.
I even mentioned our concerns about the erosion of the space propsed in the grant application to FWP LWCF. And explained that even FWP LWCF would probably be game to write a letter (Walt T.)
I just talked to Matt about any concrete contacts.. and he was void of any.. however i mentioned that he should be mentioning it to anyone in our circles that he is bumping into, presidentially speaking.
Just got the clearance info to Sylvia at A/P of Bozeman for Jesse Chase's $5333 check. And in doing so I proposed the need to use her for the cancelled check issues for re-imbursement. She sounded as if it would be easy. I just email her the dates, the people, and the amounts and she figured it was accessible. I tempted her that the dates maygo back to 2001 or 2002.. and she seemed to feel confident still! Yeah!
Also sent an email to food Co-op about the re-imbursement relationship they / we have with LWCF money- matching their contribution.
