cameraman needed
san antonio area...
i'm looking for someone to come out and film a round of disc golf, for something I am working on. I don't need a whole film production, just something decent enough to compare to the quality on most you tube videos.
Basically I would like someone to film the round, and then just give me the disc or memory card when we are done. If it films in mpeg or avi I can just edit it myself at home. I tried it with my camera to test the quality. The editing was… Continue

Update on my Discn'
Well, i've been practicing a lot lately. Driving range, putting, and such. I've definately increased my distance!! Now I'm pushing 400' consistently with my Boss and both Destroyers (i have been for a while, I just haven't updated anything in a long time). There isn't MUCH use for it here in my little corner of the world, but when I go to Victoria and Corpus next year, it should come in handy. And my putting is really improving as well. I'm at about 70-80% from the circle, which is a lot better… Continue

throwing lefty
this is my first blog on discgolfersr.us so bear with me. I've been a member for a little while but haven't really managed this page. (stuck to my email and myspace)
i'm a right handed thrower but recently challenged myself to throw left handed. it's really working out well!! in my own opinion at least. right handed i canconsistently hit 300'. yesterday i paced it out and lefty... pushing 275'. i know for some of you 300' isn't that great but for me... it's a world of "umph" to get… Continue

It definitely something every disc golfer should try someday because it was just some of the most fun i've had in a while because of the stress of school and not really being able to golf with 2 week long blizzards and 8 feet of snow. Its pretty depressing. And plus most of the courses in town were pretty flooded anyway because the 2 feet of snow that we had in kalamazoo all melted when it was 55 degrees on saturday. It was nuts!

- Yeah I kinda like the idea that we won't play until noon except the fact that we won't get done till late on Saturday. What time are you heading in and where are you staying. Matt and I got a hotel right on the beach so that should be fun. I've never been to Corpus so this will be an experience for me. I think we are going to head up Friday about 4 or so and maybe get in a round with Liz and Eric.
