As my first ever season of disc golf is drawing to a close I can't help but think about how far I have come in such a short time. From not being able to flip a leopard to throwing huge 400ft bombs with a Valkyrie, Wraith, or Teebird. Ace #1!!!!!!!

Got my first ace yesterday on hole 10 at bradley park in peoria IL using my 175g champ teebird. Its a 250ish foot hole pretty open a pretty large tree off to the right but I threw a shot straight to the basket! It was so awesome!!!!

Almost Got My First Ace Today!!!!!

I was in peoria (a neighboring town to mine) with my girlfriend and conned her into stopping to play a round of disc golf at Bradley Park. She only like to play 9 holes at a time so we only played the back nine. I didn't have my mids or putters with me(see previous blogs) so I was doing pretty badly. She was getting some fours and tieing me on a few holes and I told her that was really good for a girl thats only played 9 holes less than half a dozen times. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!!! (I hate losing discs, and disc THEIVES!!!!)

I went to my normal practice field today to work on my drives for the first time in about three months. Its not a very professionally kept field as its just used by the local Junior Football league. There aren't lines but from when I was a kid playing football there myself I remembered that they paint the lines with the Goal posts at the very back of the end zones. How Many Hobbies Is Too Many Hobbies?

I'm relatively new to disc golf. I started playing at the very end of last year casually and am just now getting into it more seriously. I entered my first tournament this summer and ended up winning. Granted it was only the beginners division but I am proud of it none the less. As much as I love disc golf I have a few other hobbies that I love just as much.

I would say the TL does resist high speed turn pretty well. I have a star 168g one that is a little beat and it pretty much goes straight with just a little fade at the end. If I do crank on it, then it does flip, but not very much and then it goes a mile. It even does okay on a hyzer into mild winds. My champ TL does not flip at all. It just goes on the line I threw it for a long time with a very slightly more pronounced fade than the star version. I love both of them. It's a great disc in the woods.
