Norwalk Disc Golf League...

I am playing in the local disc golf league that Jason W (Ghstinshll) is running for the city of Norwalk rec department. It a group of beginners and occasional players like myself. No PDGA numbers or ratings. We have played 2 rounds and they are, officially, without doubt, my two worst rounds of the year. My first round I went round in 15 over. Pretty bad even by my standards. The excuse I had going for me is that the wind was blowing fierce. We played our second meeting today and I scored 11… Continue

First Game of The Year

Got out today with a few of the usual suspects. Gary, Jeremy and Dan. Played Windflower. The temperature was about 40 and a lot of the snow is melting. Overall it was a nice day to get out. The course is in pretty good shape considering the recent weather. There are a few tree limbs down and a lot of little twigs. All this from the ice storm a few weeks ago. The pads are all covered in show and ice and we even had to search for them. All in all it was a great way to warm up for the Ice Bowl in… Continue

Hey Matt,
The putting clinic (hopefully) will be in the next issue of FDM and the video version will be released on Youtube & Discraft sites when the magazine is sent. So by Mid-June it will be available. Please join the program.

You're welcome. The best advice I can give you is to decide which one you are going to use and stick to it. Which Rhyno are you using? The pro seems to be much more like an Omega SS softness wise...

I was reading where you have been trying different putters but can't seem to find what fits real well. I saw that you have tried the ESP Banger GT. While I do have an ESP, I find it to be fairly slick to putt with and while it drives great, I don't carry it in my bag. I putt with the Soft Bangers, they fly fairly straight and have a Fantastic grip. They Pro D's while still having a good grip are more stable, but not as stable as the ESP. Just a little input that might help.

Matt, thanks for the compliments on the videos. We are making more.
You have some great courses in Iowa. I loved Pickard and Walnut when the Worlds were in Iowa. Play well.

Hey Bill - Gotta be honest with you - I haven't thrown a DX Beast so I can't really compare. I will say I have a Champion Beast and I don't like it near as much as the Star version. Just about all the Star vs. Champion comparisons I have are won by the Star. The Star Beast I throw is a little lighter and I seem to have better luck with lighter discs. Damned arthritis.

the Star Beast you carry, does that compare well to the DX version? I've thrown the champ version without much success but have a DX that flies great, just too beat up in the Carolina woods
