Howdy all, I'm Bogeyman (B.J. Ondo) out of Colorado Springs, CO. My wife Jo and I are members of the Pikes Peak Flying Disc Club: http://www.ppfdc.com and we Host the Sunday FUN/Free League. Were totally NOVICE level players, both 50+ and only started throwing plastic in Sept. 07. I have Reiter's Syndrome, (chronic arthritis) so I will never be a "distance chucker", but the game is just plain FUN!
I was taking a long walk out of the tinly hamlet of…Continue

As I'm sure many people who get into disc golf are, I am taken by the plethora of golf discs available for the sport. Now, I can't say that I have tried anything like a significant number of all the offerings, but I have been a little rabid about finding those that work well for me at this stage of the game. Welcome to the club, I'm sure.
I have been playing off and on for about four or five years, but only recently started getting more serious about it. I am not a big arm guy; my…Continue

DISC GOLF IS NO FAD
Written By: Bill Ashton
The first actual disc golf course was installed well over 30 years ago at Oak Grove Park in Pasadena, California. Today, there are now 2500 courses nation wide. The sport has steadily increased in popularity…
Well that's 2 Tournaments under my belt for 2008 and 2 second places
That's me before teeing off on #10
It was snowy but not horrible as the winds were calm. I started off the 1st Round HOT again,
got several birdies in a row on the front nine & kinda faded until the end of the 1st round, managed a -5 (996 round) and was in 2nd place tie with paul muhous. The second…Continue

I played two rounds today after work and before it got dark! It only took about 45 minutes but I'm a bit out of shape. Also it was windy and the more strokes you take, the higher your time usually. I played at Expo Park in Aurora (Near Denver) and just ran with a beat in Roc, an X-Buzz and a Wizard. Expo is a short course (I'm guessing -9 = 1000 rated round) around a couple of lakes and you do have to be careful to keep the plastic off the ice. The winds were constantly 15-20 mph with higher…Continue
OK, so ya'll know I broke my leg recently. It's healing well, and I'm on my feet walking without crutches. I'm still wearing a boot cast for a couple of weeks, but it was sure nice to slip on a real shoe this evening after work.
I was wondering if my DG Karma was in check after such a silly accident. Well, today I got my answer. Just got an email from Uncle Joe that I won the Grand Prize at the 20th Annual Real Ice Bowl. That prize is a new,…Continue

I played the last Winter Warrior event of the year on Saturday. This was my 6th event and since the top 6 scores get counted, at least I got 6. Ended up -18 for the round (we do doubles with double-birdies so scores can get crazy) which raised me from tied 19th to 13th overall. Pretty good with no scores being dropped. Not the points matter except for braggin rights but it was fun and the whole series raised over $3000 for the Mile High Ice Bowl next week.
I'm excited because I played…Continue

I played my first PDGA tourney of the year yesterday, the first one since the PDGA redifined the divisions. It was also the first ratings based tourney I had played in as well. I was well pleased with both, there seemed to be great compition in all divisions and plenty of players in all divisions. I made it a point to speak to some of the older players and women to ask thier opinion of the ratings based divisions. All that I spoke with seemed to be pleased playing against players of similar…Continue
