Cooper and I went to Gower after work and played 3 rounds of 9 holes each. I was +2, +4, and even par. I was driving okay but my approaches were erratic. I also missed a couple of gimme putts and a couple other putts that I should have made. I also made a couple putts that shouldn't have gone in. They have the new fencing up around the tennis courts and basketball courts and are pouring concrete between the two. I had a pair of cutoffs on under my sweat pants and they were so loose that they… Continue

Well everyone has a favorite disc for a particular situation, and I'm no exception to that rule. I definately don't look blindly into my bag as I approach my next shot. Here is a mix of what I carry and how I use them.
1st off is the drive and this varies depending on distance, turn, and throwing room. Typically my first choice for a sidearm is going to be a Firebird or a T-rex if it is long, star plastic for both. They are highly dependable and versatile as… Continue

Dreams are weird. You need to get them down right away, or else you forget them, right? Maybe. Anyway I'm just going to go over the tiny bits I remember...
We were walking between holes at the Toboggan course, between hole three and four and we came on a new hole. The hole was about 330, had an immediate ridge in front of the teepad you couldn't see over (similar to hole three at Norwalk, Ohio for those that are local) and then played over a reservoir to a postage stamp green,… Continue

had a devistating double bogey on the twisty hole 3 @drake springs today. you know, the one that tees out of the barn with two huge cedar trees about 15 feet of the pad. hit em from 15 and 5 today. While hopes of breaking the course record were tossed I learned to play a new game.
Catch up was in order and figuring out how to level my emotions after a double bogey. I remember a time when a bad hole took me out of a whole tournament.
I just couldnt get a deuce for three holes… Continue

Love the game....started in the 80's in Ohio and Michigan. In the early
90's played a lot in Columbus Ohio. Moved to Colorado in 95' and played
some here and there...then I fell in love with Ultimate and ball golf. In 2007
I really got hooked playing disc golf. My favorite driver disc is the Beast. My midrange is the Spider and I putt with a Wizard. I take pride in my putting/mid range game. I love lots of sports, but Disc Golf for me combines Ultimate, Golf, Fishing and hiking.… Continue

Last night I was all over the discgolfreview.com forum talking about turnover Rocs, and 10x rocs just trying to get a feel for what kind of kc roc would turn a little more for me, I seem to have a bunch of superhuman stable 11x's that only beat into dead straight or hold the line you put on them. I'm not complaining, but I don't like dx and need a turnover midrange. Anways after finding someone to trade for 2 used 10x's I had a pm in my inbox from a JR that was just titled "hi". It wasn't the… Continue

So, like I said in the previous blog post I went down to Columbus with Ziggy Bierekoven and Geoff Bennett for the Columbus Ice Bowl at the Hambrick Memorial Course at Hoover. It was a solid event, but the real fun was the night before the tournament to be honest. We stayed at Jordan Rauch's place. We played putting games in the basement nonstop. Jordan has an area that allows for up to 45 foot putts, I think the longest we bothered with were 35 footers. We did everything weird we could, from… Continue
