Gower Park

Cooper and I went to Gower after work and played 3 rounds of 9 holes each. I was +2, +4, and even par. I was driving okay but my approaches were erratic. I also missed a couple of gimme putts and a couple other putts that I should have made. I also made a couple putts that shouldn't have gone in. In My Bag

Well everyone has a favorite disc for a particular situation, and I'm no exception to that rule. I definately don't look blindly into my bag as I approach my next shot. Here is a mix of what I carry and how I use them.

Disc Dream

Dreams are weird. You need to get them down right away, or else you forget them, right? Maybe. Anyway I'm just going to go over the tiny bits I remember...

fun ways to fix a bummer round

had a devistating double bogey on the twisty hole 3 @drake springs today. you know, the one that tees out of the barn with two huge cedar trees about 15 feet of the pad. hit em from 15 and 5 today. While hopes of breaking the course record were tossed I learned to play a new game.

Catch up was in order and figuring out how to level my emotions after a double bogey. I remember a time when a bad hole took me out of a whole tournament.

D's Disc History

Love the game....started in the 80's in Ohio and Michigan. In the early

90's played a lot in Columbus Ohio. Moved to Colorado in 95' and played

some here and there...then I fell in love with Ultimate and ball golf. In 2007

I really got hooked playing disc golf. My favorite driver disc is the Beast. My midrange is the Spider and I putt with a Wizard. I take pride in my putting/mid range game. I love lots of sports, but Disc Golf for me combines Ultimate, Golf, Fishing and hiking.… Continue

Beer Brewing (mistake number one)

It had to happen sooner or later, I was personally hoping for later.

Important safety tip Igon.... Do not, under any circumstances, brew your beer while the AFC Championship game is on. You will do something wrong!

I tried this and ended up not getting a good OG. With a partial boil, I cooled the wort properly, but failed to add most of the water to the fermenter BEFORE pouring the wort on top of it. Therefore the water is sitting on top… Continue

Pleasant Surprise

Last night I was all over the discgolfreview.com forum talking about turnover Rocs, and 10x rocs just trying to get a feel for what kind of kc roc would turn a little more for me, I seem to have a bunch of superhuman stable 11x's that only beat into dead straight or hold the line you put on them. Midnight Putting Games

So, like I said in the previous blog post I went down to Columbus with Ziggy Bierekoven and Geoff Bennett for the Columbus Ice Bowl at the Hambrick Memorial Course at Hoover.
