I love loyalty...dont we all. Its the reason the dog is the most common pet,its the reason you tolerate that friend who knows exactly what not to say.Loyalty can be a wonderful and very beneficial quality...it can also be self depricating. This self destructive loyalty reers its ugly head in the form of almost religous preferance for brands of the plastic we throw. How many times have we seen it in the blogs...on the courses...on porta johns everywhere! People pointing out the inherent… Continue

..except it's February and everything re-froze over night after the rain leaving us with some of the most wicked icy fairways I've played on in a tournament. Often you had to lay up or slide a putt or approach for fear of long misses and had to play the ice on several drives and upshots which made a tough day. Got to witness Frame-O- taking a 7 on a short hole.
I played better than expected and got a bit of good luck, shooting a 60 then a 58 at Rolling Hills Long tees (both bad… Continue

well I was missing the game, so my boyfriend and I went to rockford east anna page. I wasnt able to throw side arm but i could throw back hand, not very good but if felt good to be on the course again. I'm not sure if I like the course it was really open and very windy. I think next time I go I will try the west side with the 600 ft shot.

Yes, I am now Buzzzless.
I experimented some with Discraft's Buzzz for a little while and have now decided to remove them from my DG bag. I've replaced one with a Roc and another with a new Kite from Innova. The Kite is what I have been looking for. It is kinda like a slightly faster, smaller diameter Stingray. I also added a Skeeter but like the Kite better so far.
On another subject, I have decided to run as an officer in the upcoming elections for the local club. The… Continue

Forgive the off disc topic for a moment, but this does have an impact on everyone these days. I read a news article the other day that involved the new President of the United States; big surprise right. However, the article really pissed me off due to the extreme amount of ignorance involved. The title was "Growing hate groups blame Obama, economy. Now, I'm far from being perfect and I know that everyone "hates" at some point in their lives, it's a part of being human. However, these are… Continue

We leave tomorrow, heading south to the Snow Farm, for Texas State Dubs.
This year, I'll be playing with Tom Langley, whom I consider to be a pretty decent golfer. But Poor Tom, he doesn't know the partner he picked for doubles. Actually, I play alright when I have a safety net for a partner. It's when I'm out there on the island of tourney disc golf that I flail about.
Tom and a couple other Funkytown Flyers are leaving in the morning and driving his motorhome down and… Continue

I played a quick round at Holmes and finished -1 with birdies on 5 and 6 and a bogey on 4. I threw my longest tee shot on #1 that I have ever thrown. Then I started whacking trees off the tee. I hit trees on 2, 3, 4, and 5! I recovered as well as I could on each of them. I also had terrible tee shots on 7 and 8 but recovered to save par. I finished with another long tee shot on with a long look at a birdie. The birdies on 5 and 6, I had whacked a tree on 5 and had to thread the trees from about… Continue

Route I'm taking. Looking for courses that are 10-15 minutes off road, easy to find, and are playable in two weeks.

My boyfriend and I were walking at lustig park and I couldnt figure out what the baskets were for so he told me and said we should try, but I didnt want to because it sounded stupid. Well my son came home on leave and my boyfriend and him were talking about the game and my son wanted to try so they went to dunhams and bought a couple sets and they asked me if I wanted to go and I said it sounded stupid throwing discs at a basket. So my boyfriend and two sons went and played and came backed and… Continue
