Today my brother Geoff and I took a little trip to B'ham to play a little disc golf with our cousin Wildman. We played our first round at George Ward and I loved it. The extra 6 holes really played a factor in my game today, I couldn't believe the way the wind was blowing on top of that hill. Once we finished there, we headed out to John LeMaster in Trussville. OMG!!!!! What a course. This course provided several challenging holes that would make a grown man cry!!! If you have the chance to… Continue

My brother Jon and I took a little roadtrip to Birmingham today. We met our cousin Wildman @ George Ward. I bought a Super Puppy from Tom Monroe in the parking lot, hooked up with Dane and off we went on a 24 hole safari. George Ward is a fantastic course where shot selection can easily result in low scores...loved it. After our round we loaded up and headed to Trussville to play John LeMaster. This is a very challeging course and believe me, you will need every shot in your bag. It is a great… Continue

Okay, i couldn't drive so far. Not more then 300 feets in the moment. Poor. In the moment the timing is abolutely wrong. Shit. But there is some time left until the tournaments starts. On the other side i have detected that i could approach very good with my sidearm over 150 - 200 feets. Feels crazy. Last summer i couldn't play any sidearms cause of some hurt in my biceps.
I have extendend the distance of good approaches. Perhaps that adjust my poor tee-off-drives in the… Continue

They gave it to me! (driver's license) I'm free to come to a course near you. I almost feel like a human being again. I've pre-reg'd for the first tournament I will be driving to and playing in, EVER...Bowling Green. It's the site of my first ever PDGA cash in a tourney in 2002. Quite fitting that it is also the site of my return, don't you think?
See you all out there this year.
I just don't know what to say about this lady! And I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for her mother or blame her for her daughter's action!
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – The grandmother of California's newborn octuplets faces the threat of foreclosure on the house she has shared with her daughter and six of her grandchildren, property records revealed on Wednesday.
According to a mortgage default notice filed last week with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder's… Continue
I had to go to Columbia and Greer for work and was able to play 10-18 at Earlewood 2/17/09 and the new configuration at Century Park. Earlewood was great fun as always for a quick 9 hole round on the way to Greenville. I think the changes at the Greer course were great. The back pad on #12 was a great addition I thought and I really liked #16 across the creek and I am looking forward to playing there again when I am up there. It would be great if there would be a 2 day tournament between… Continue
The past few times I have gone to my local course I have gotten stuck behind a group that drives me crazy. I have tried to put them out of my head but every time i seem to just get messed up even seeing they are on the course. I suppose this is just something that i should learn to deal with. Oh well. Just needed to get it off my chest.

Bob Burton, John Ross, Gene Fackler and I spent President's Day on the road. We traveled to Horning's Hideout just north of Forrest Grove, Oregon to play a course that Gene found out about by word of mouth will visiting one of our local Disc Golf retailers All Star Buy and Sell. This place currently sports two 18 hole courses and has plans for a third by this summer. It is a "Pay to Play" course but was well worth the modest investment of $3.00 per person for the day. We started on the short… Continue

I worked on this show last night as an electrician and got a chance to watch it from the audience.
These guys are definitely the best Floyd tribute band out there...This is a professionally done production...fantastic audio, phenominal band and an intense light show...the closet you'll get to seeing Floyd without actually seeing them!!!
Check your local venue schedules for possible dates...you don't want to miss… Continue
Its funny how and when ideas manifest. My wife, a writer, always seems to have epiphanies when she is taking a walk. One of the reasons she doesn't like to use an iPod or other such device is that she doesn't want the music to block her idea well. We all get bright ideas in odd places. I think I had one today... in the bathroom.
I walked in and looked at the mirror while miming a tee shot. I noticed that I have been leading with my… Continue
This past Saturday, Valentine's day, we had our February monthly at O.T. Sloan in Sanford. We had our player's meeting and then everyone headed off to their tees. We started on hole #1. The time keeper for hte event was with us. Well, he yelled 2 minutes, and then the start. Poncho was the first up, he flicked to the right. He could recover. I got up on the tee wiht my faithful Star Teerex and line up the shot. Kind of a… Continue
Got my first semi-major disc golf injury Saturday! I claimed a concussion. 'Twas rather icy for league at Kaposia. Scratch that. It wasn't rather icy. It WAS an ice rink. Kaposia is rather hilly also. As you can only guess, it made for a ton of slipping and sliding. I should have been smart and not played. I went down on our first hole, hole two. It was a hard fall, but just landed on my butt. It didn't feel good since I have broken my tailbone before.
hey i finally got to go disc golfing for the first time ever! it was really fun. hey everyone who was at high bridge today keep playing hope to see you down there. hey thanks to those 4 guys that help me and my dad when are car got stuck in the snow.
