I just got Ace #2 at Brushy Creek, Cat Hollow. It was hole #2, a short hole with a Firebird thumber. Love that feeling! Did the guys ahead of me see my ace? Of course not! Still, it was sweet! Stepped up, pulled one disc out of my bag, let her fling, and boom!
I thank DiscGolfReview.Com for this. I had read that Firebirds were good thumbers there and sought one out. It's a keeper.

Well, Another edition of the Bowling Green Ams is Over for me, This was my 4th BG ams, and i the best i have ever done, I got to play in the recreational division this time, and ended up finishing Tied for 18th out of around 121 or so. Looking back at my rounds (Hobson +7, Lovers +7, Griffin -1, Miller -2, I wish i had done as good the first day as i did the second and i would be right up there fighting for the lead. Just too many mistakes. It was always fun playing with someone new in every… Continue

Wow. What a fun time it was over the weekend to disc with some ladies. Last year I played the course for the first time at the tournament. I am really embarrassed at how it went, but it was nice to compare this year to last year. I took 60 strokes off of my game in one year. Shows what a little practice can do.
The ladies that were discing were really fun. I haven't played a lot of tournaments, so I don't have a great base of comparison here, but they mentioned… Continue
Now here's some BIG news that certainly came as surprise to me. As 2007 Worst Player Of The Year Award Winner, I played my first tournament of 2008 and guess what ? I Won My First Tournament That I Played In 2008 - The March Mush, The Kick Off Tournament For The Fantastic J-Bird Series. The tournament was held at Grand Woods in Lansing and was played in 4 or 5 inches of fresh snow. This was my first tournament ever played as an Advanced Grandmaster, aside from my… Continue
Last Friday I threw my fifth ace. We played a practice round during the preparations for the first Austro-Hungaro tournament in Pichl. The tees were already set up, and so were the baskets. I hit the tree behind the basket (the natural target for this hole when not played in tournament setup). The disc bounced back and landed right in the basket. BTW this was my second hole in one on this hole (first one shot back in 2005. That time we used the tree as natural target).…
I am gathering information for a study on disc golf play and injuries.
I would like to determine how common disc golf injuries are and other factors associated with the injury.
Please visit this website to learn more about the study. www.sportsdc.net/DGStudy
You do not have to be injured to participate in the study.
Please share this site with your fellow disc golfers so we can have a large sample.
New experience today. UAH -Huntsville, Alabama. One thing for sure, everytime I have played it is either cold or windy. Actually played twice this weekend. Started yesterday morning (cold and foggy) at Sparkman in Hartselle. Interesting course.
Found the creek twice.
Today UAH. If there is water on the left, my disc breaks left; water on the right, it breaks right. Still it was a great time with two sons, daughter-in-law and grandson. This really is a family game.

If it weren't for this frisbee, this website would not exist today. I began throwing this in my yard over a decade ago, shooting at targets. I thought I had found something new, and later that year was introduced to the actual sport of disc golf. Hooked immediately, I got my parents to play. So if you follow that logic..if I never had this frisbee, I might never had started disc golfing..then my dad would not have..then he would not have created this site!…
My mom means the world to me and i can remember all those times i was sick and she took care of me. Well now she is sick and its my turn. She has been in and out of doctors offices and hospitals and they dont know whats wrong with her. My horrible dad has not helped because all he does is worry her to death and keep her upset. She has already had tumors removed and now they need to do another surgery this coming Thursday. We have been getting the money together to pay for the surgery and she is… Continue
Well, today has been a great day so far. My wife and I went to the hospital to have the 20 week ultrasounds done. As usual we were both nervous and excited at the same time. After 45 mintes of ultrasounds and about 50 images, everything is still going smoothly. At least I think everything is going smoothly. If you ask my wife, she might give you a different response. Seeing the ultrasound pictures makes everything real and it starts to sink in, that life is about to change! To say I am excited… Continue
Hometown: Denver, Colorado (recently relocated to the Western Slope)
Where can you find me: Machette, Palisade, Fruita and Westlake DG Park (Everyday at lunch, it's 2 blocks from work :) )
I'd like to get Montrose in the rotation as well as Glenwood Springs and Powder Horn Mountain in the Summer.

I played 9 holes at Gower today and was very out of sorts from work. Fortunately I played alone as I played poorly. I ended up at +3. I went OB on #8 in the tennis courts and #9 in the ball field. The new concrete pads are available for use except for #9. I'm still out of sorts so I won't comment more.

I learned I have a lot of strength but that it's not working for me. I'm using too much upper body, not enough legs. I'm pivoting on my toe instead of my heel of my front foot. I'm coiling the disc too much and keeping it too far from my chest when I throw. I'm not pointing my hip at the basket or leading with the hip in the right way. I dont't have a "fairway driver" because I always go for super distance. Texas courses aren't punishing enough because you can often get… Continue
