There is no longer any question for the answer has been given. Nowhere in the world do disc golf tournaments fill as fast as those in Oregon. I congratulate us all (the frothing mouths drooling excitement at playing Oregon disc golf events).
Gno fills in less than 36 hours
BSF fills in less than 36 hours
I remember the days we had 16 participants at an OLE event
I remember the days when BIG events didn't fill until the day of the event,
Welcome to the 21st… Continue

Played a round on 18 at Kensington with Abbey and my Dad, no birdies, over drove a lot of holes terrible, TERRIBLE putting and mid game. +6 on the day, just terrible. I had no confidence what so ever when it game to my putting and once I got in that rut I just couldn't seem to get out of it. I've also been trying to restrain myself when it comes to showing negative emotions while playing, I'd done a good job until about the 16th hole when I let a little out. It was just a bad game, but I've put… Continue

As I came up out of the woods to the 12th tee this morning, the broad fairway ahead of me was gorgeous! The Parks department does a fabulous job, considering we've had 5 inches of rain this month. The water here tends to stand patiently on top of the ground, waiting to slowly seep in. So you may slog through, but the ground itself is not squishy or slippery. Mostly. Sometimes it runs off into temporary rivulets and waterfalls, down to the lake. It was windy today, making each shot a thing of… Continue

I went to the Beloit and played 3 rounds of 9 holes today, had alot of fun. I worked on my backhand throw and by the 2nd round I was doing alot better, I was throwing farthar and I was throwing straight and low. I used my son's 150wt champion valkrie, I think that is my new favorite disc.

Awakened at my own scream. My sweaty palms and mouth so dry. My slumber is interupted. My eyes moistened by tears. It's the repetitive dream, damn Hole 8. My antagonist and purveyor of fears. Laying here reasoning with my own doubt. I must put aside these emotions and box it all out. It's one hole on one course. A simple basket with chains perched on a hill that causes my remorse.Swimming in deep dark water seems worse. Knowing oceans worst predator awaits. Razor sharp teeth knawing at my flesh.… Continue

This morning was gorgeous! It was chilly enough to wear light thermals under my sweats, but the sun was peeking up and the sky was cloudless. I saw a bald eagle soar off as I rounded the curve on the first hole, and a bluebird as I came up out of the woods to the 12th tee. What a way to start the week!

I'm glad that I overcame my worries about being behind at work and spent the day at Hudson Mills with a bunch of disc golfers. There were 179 competitors in the event, including huge contingents of Am-2 and Am-3 competitors.
Not only is my work busy, but I had spent all week - during the day - sitting in the jury of a gory and sad murder trial. We rendered our verdict early Friday afternoon - Guilty of Second Degree Murder and three Larceny counts, but acquitted on one Larceny and on… Continue

So I decided to play up for this tournament: instead of playing AM1, I played Open. 38 players entered on a cool, dreary, and windy day.
Round one consisted of 27 holes in a mixed layout. I played with Greg and a newer player from another local club. I played very consistently, even putting together 2 separate strings of 3 consecutive deuces. I had two bad holes to finish the round, but still finished 3 under. At the end of rd. 1, I was tied for 5th of 9.
Round two I got… Continue

I totally sliped and ate shit on hole 1 at my home course at Peccole Ranch.. My right hip is so sore and i landed on my right elbow.. the tee pad was slippery with water. I didnt even see where my disc went. when i finally got up and looked for my disc i was surprized to see it landed straight in line. about 10 feet passed the basket.. i putted it in for birdie. but damn i paid the price for that one.. its going to takes weeks to heal. i finished my round at 2 over. a good score.. at… Continue
